Doesn't bother me at all, but it's your loss. He has lots of songs that remind me of Fleetwood Mac.

The extra frustrating thing for me about Katy Perry is that I actually dig her voice. Unfortunately her attitude is just so irritating and her songs aren't great enough to overcome it.

Nickelback are really awful.

But my greatest dislike these days - though I would never dare to use the word "artist" in this context - would be Baauer.
I would rather see Rihanna (though I do SO NOT like her) at number one for the 100th time than this so-called-song "Harlem Shake"...

Michael Jackson (sorry guys, not a fan)
Kanye West (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy isn't horrible i guess, i just think he's a Jackass)
The Black Eyed Peas
Most Progressive Rock (except Pink Floyd, I love them)
Adele (to overblown, she's alright)

OH and rap... all rap except Beck's sorta alternative hip hop stuff and the Beastie Boys, both are more hip hop though.

Journey and Kings of Leon. For the simple fact that I work at a pub which has live music every weekend. And every weekend without fail, the band/solo singer WILL sing Don't Stop Believing and Sex On Fire. Annoying.

See, I too am stuck in the 70's-mid 90's time lapse, and I am not ashamed to admit it.

When I was younger, I would buy tapes/CDs almost every week of different genres and knew every artist, what song they sang and knew most of the lyrics. The music industry is not that appealing to me anymore. Call it age, but I am only in my mid 30's and I love bands that were popular when I was born! (Heart, Eagles, Mamas & Papas, B52's, yes even ABBA!) I was born after my time; I am an old soul.

I don't listen to the radio and can't keep up with current rock/pop acts like I used to. Call it old age or short attention span, there are just too many that sound alike. I agree w/ Macfanforever, too much blah BS with some of the really good talents today.

However, I do like the song "Pricetag" and "Falling to Pieces" (they are not even new songs lol) featured on the Voice 1 or 2 yrs ago. Help me out, who are these artists?

that song "The Only Exception" by Paramore? and that other slow song released around the same time....comes to mind Mazzy Star, but I know that's not right, lol.

I also like some of the Killers, Maroon 5, a UK band Noisettes.

Just wanted to add, whoever writes for Katy Perry is excellent in the pop music making genre. And although I don't care for her over the top demand for attention "look at me now" attitude, Gaga is very talented in writing and her musical (piano, etc) ability. This doesn't mean I will ever buy their records or downloads, but they don't deserve half the crap that Bieber and Minaj get, or should receive.

To ChiliD that says "No" to the Smiths and Cure, I say shame
They are legends

and back on topic, I really don't like fun, I can't stand Black Eyed Peas, and that Toto/Jungle band...wait is that fun? I really don't know...and don't care to.

I'll add the Beach Boys. Never understood.....I don't see an ounce of appeal.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Alanis Morissette I wish she could sing in English for I can understand the words.
I probably will enjoy her tunes.

Thank Viv for saying that and sticking up for me. As I say To each his own.People have different tastes.. The comment that I made might of sound like a blanket statement.I say NO .

Its like food too.I love Italian food but I'm not a fan of Chinese food and Mexican food.I will eat it but it does not agree with my stomach.

Those of you on here think I condemn all of today's music.I say no.
As long its not noise plus it makes sense with the lyrics .

Its not like 1976 when you turn on the radio and hear 10 current great top 40 tunes in a hour that you like in a row.Even then they were crap pop/rock tunes you wish will go away.

I just notice that some of you are on the same page that I am on some of music that I mentioned.

If Katy Perry,Lady Gaga ,Ke$ha Beyonce and other current artist sing tunes which makes sense and better lyrics and drop the Autotune .I might enjoy them .I like them as a person but not their tunes.

What's interesting about this is that, at that time, I'm sure there were many older people who felt the same way as you do now. They grew up with Sinatra, and now they turn on the radio and all they hear is that crap from Pink Floyd and Heart and The Who. Whatever happened to good music?!?!?

Hahahaha.Yes My dad could relate to that.He could not stand long hair music as he called it.Fleetwood Mac was one of them. But he did liked Landslide. My mom like any kind of music of the time.

Yes I agree .Yes today s classic rock stations seem to have short playlists and play the same ole moldy oldies 100 time a day.

Yes it goes for Fleetwood Mac too. They have 100 other hits besides Dreams.Landslide and Don't Stop.

Hahaha.Which I do enjoy.

Since the FM tour is coming up.We will be hearing alot more FM on the radio.
I already been hearing from friends that they heard Stevie/FM on the radio alot more lately.
