about dial up (The audio played but not the video).

Hopefully LB will be appearring on a VH1 Classics episode of "Hanging With" this month, that way I'll be able to see the video and have it on DVD-R.

I LOVE the clip. Today I wrote an article on the narrative aspects of using photographs,video and sound in reconstructing lifestories for selfexploration and reflection.

And then this clip of my hero surfaces.

Is that really Stevie's eyes at the line where it says "you find your other half?" I think someone mentioned that above. But they don't look like her eyes ... I only watched once and it was so fast, so I am not really sure anyway!

definitely not stevie's eyes. it's a mirror image of the side of his face. i screencapped it but don't really feel like editing it and hosting it and posting it.

i don't hate the video but i can't see it getting much play.

Yeah. I didn't think they were Stevie's eyes either. I agree that they're Lindsey's. I guess he's his own other half. lol

At the risk of getting blasted, though, I found the video awful. Webcam Lindsey - yikes. I find it hard to believe that was what he was going for, but that's what he got. It's so amateurish. It looks almost lazy. "Let's zoom up and down the soundboard, up and down the hall, up and down the road. Then we'll throw in a quick slideshow of old pics, and mix in Lindsey sitting there staring at nothing and looking 'angsty.' Repeat. Repeat. Repeat." Now, perhaps it was a "artistic choice" to make it look completely unprofessional and slapped together. A "screw you" to people who expect quality videos. If so, mission accomplished!

If you have problems viewing the video, try closing the Lindsey page and let your media player run. It's probably too much downloading with the background song from the page and downloading the video both at the same time.

This video definitely reminds me of Lindsey's past work. Dare I say, it's almost migraine inducing. I at the part where it showed him looking all wrung out. He had probably been up recording for 27 hours straight. The old time family photos are a nice touch too, very personal. I really like the ending of this song, for some reason. Can't wait to get my hands on the CD.

I see what you mean nancy, but this is a typical homevideo. I bet he even did it himself, at least making the material. I think Lindsey's going for the reflective and stripped down associative communication. That's how he talks about the music too. The music however, is alot more produced than the video. I personally hoped that he would have let that as raw as the vid is.....
