[They use a picture from the Clinton performance in this article and it really was exciting. I was online at that time. I was on Prodigy, but I was not posting about music. I was talking about television. It would have been a wonderful time to see what other FM fans were saying about the reunion]

Life at Reading Eagle

Fleetwood Mac back to its full, most popular lineup

Though they began as a blues band of some note in England in 1967 and became better known through a succession of pop-minded leaders from Danny Kirwan to Bob Welch in subsequent years, Fleetwood Mac became a superstar band in the mid-1970s with the addition of Californians Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

After a couple of blockbuster albums and some other very popular ones, they began to splinter. Now, with singer-songwriter Christine McVie's return, the band's current tour is its first since 1998 to feature the full, most popular lineup.

The band will perform Sunday night at 8 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Here's a Fleetwood Mac refresher by the numbers:

•8: Years Fleetwood Mac existed before Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined in 1975.
•34: Highest chart rank for the band before 1975.
•5: Millions of copies sold of the No. 1 1975 album "Fleetwood Mac."
•20: Millions of copies sold to date of the 1977 follow-up, "Rumours."
•6: Rank of "Rumours" on list of all-time best-selling albums.
•1: No. 1 singles in Fleetwood Mac's history. It was 1976's "Dreams."
•1987: Buckingham quits the band, replaced on tour by Billy Burnette and Rick Vito.
•16: Total Fleetwood Mac members over the years.
•2: Members of Fleetwood Mac who have been in every incarnation (luckily, the two who lent their names to the band: drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie).
•16 Years: since Christine McVie was part of Fleetwood Mac before returning last year.
•71: Age of Christine McVie.
•7: Number of McVie-led songs in the current tour.
•8: Songs reportedly finished for the reunited band's upcoming new album, due out next year.
•27: Age, in years, of the newest songs played on current Fleetwood Mac tour.
•0: New songs being played on the current tour.
•9: Songs on current tour from the "Rumours" album.
•24: Total songs typically played in the current tour.

Don't know if it's true but someone on twitter said Stevie cried during and after Never Going Back Again.

Yeah, that's what I heard. Even Silver Springs was an emotional one for her. On the 'bright' side, Stevie and Lindsey danced.

I hope that it's not because she is never going back again after this tour!

Maybe she was crying because the way Lindsey has destroyed the song finally hit her.

She's given him SO many chances over the years, too, what with Gypsy, Slow Dancing, Tusk embraces on SYW, etc. Sigh. Still no sign of improvement.

They tried out for Dancing on Ice as well but failed.

Poor Stevie's running out of competitive reality shows to drag Lindsey with her to.

The Brooklyn Vegan, February 10, 2015

http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archive...d_mac_p_5.html

Sunday night (2/8) many thousands of people gave up watching the Grammys live to catch the reunited Fleetwood Mac play the Prudential Center. Like at MSG, they played two dozen songs to a packed house. Unlike at MSG, Stevie did not return to the stage after the last song, but Mick Fleetwood did supply the closing remarks again. Prudential Center setlist and videos below.

The thesis of this is US-based. Item two, for example, is only true when one ignores the band's major chart successes in the UK from 1968-70.
