Name recognition really isn’t the point. The fact he was even recognized on that type of level is certainly more than Walker, Burnette, Vito, Bramlett, and Mason were ever recognized. Mason was eventually put in the Hall with Traffic, but not in a way Winwood and Capaldi were excited about.
