The war in the recording studio and onstage with Lindsey.

Imho, the crowd at the Columbus show responded very, very well to Sad Angel. They were receptive to the others as well, but SA the most.

I say this because the night before, I was at the Elton John concert and when he played his new material, it seemed like "sit down" or "bathroom break" time.

It's a winner in my book. A catchy little song and they sound great together on it. I guess I can see where some people might think it's a bit beige, but I also think that aspect of it means it will generally go over with audiences quite well.

I hope it stays in the setlist all the way to Australia!

Where was he the night before? I want to try to find the new material on Youtube. Big EJ fan here!...

I seriously doubt they will drop the new song at any point. They've been promoting it in interviews for months that they would be playing it.

He was in Fairborn, Ohio which is just outside of Dayton.

I was looking on Dime for a recording, but no luck yet.

The first time I listened to it I thought it was boring as hell....
The second time, I started to like it...
And now it's really catchy and the lines "hello, hello sad angel, have you..." are in my ear constantly...

I know. The last "hello, hello" in the chorus is deeper and huskier than the others and I go around singing it, first high, then low, sounding like an idiot.

I like it better than Peacekeeper. I'd love to have them going on Leno or The Today show singing this one, like they did Peacekeeper.

I agree. It's improving with every listen. I just wish I were hearing the studio version--surrounded by nine other new songs.

One Track Mind: Fleetwood Mac, “Sad Angel” (2013)
by Nick DeRiso

As it continues a series of reunion concerts, Fleetwood Mac is previewing some original music — its first in a decade — including the newly composed “Sad Angel,” as well as an unreleased demo from the Buckingham Nicks sessions.

“Sad Angel” begins with a staccato guitar signature, as Buckingham launches into one of his patented hurtful yodels, only to be joined by a completely reinvigorated Stevie Nicks. Despite its plaintive title, however, this thing rocks — with a muscular rhythmic counterpoint from Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, and one of Buckingham’s most propulsive solos since “Holiday Road,” back in 1983.

Buckingham, who previewed “Sad Angel” at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center over the weekend, confirmed the imminent release of an EP’s worth of new music — recorded late last year before these new concert dates.

“We cut a whole bunch of stuff,” Buckingham says of 2012 sessions. “We’re not sure what we’re going to do with it yet. But one thing we know is it’s the best stuff we’ve done in a long time.”

The group also introduced the Buckingham Nicks leftover during the same Philadelphia show. “Without You” might also presumably appear on this forthcoming Fleetwood Mac release.

Well I really look forward to the new Lindsey solo album featuring the greatest rhythm section of all time.

you know what my son's conclusion after last night was? he said he likes Lindsey better with the Mac than solo, that Mac are a great backing band for him; he especially liked Mick's drumming.
