and elle, if you can point me to that video of him tossing the guitar onstage in his solo show and then re-composing himself, I'd love to see it!
i'm searching but can't find it... i think it was Santa Cruz Rio theatre, OMS tour in 2012, and i think it was right before NGBA because guitar he threw looked kinda like his BL guitar but was actually the one he uses for NGBA. there's no video of him actually throwing it, but there was one of him composing himself, and making fun on his own account while introducing the next song (NGBA i guess? not sure).

yeah re getting someone's attention to fix what didn't work while still trying to perform. but that's apparently not professional enough for some people - don't you know it, according to these people he's unprofessional since his first priority should have been to look back at Stevie, instead of trying to actually do the show!

EDIT: not Santa Cruz, must have been Carmel. still looking...

As to the original thread topic, I think Stevie's getting out of bed comment has been blown way out of proportion. She wasn't complaining about Lindsey not waiting around all night, or even blaming the lack of FM album on that, she was simply showing how their lives are totally different now -- he eats dinner at home with his family, she stays up and watches the sun rise when everyone is asleep. They have different lifestyles and generally don't get along so why bother forcing something?

Regarding the vitriol towards Stevie fans, I think that one user a few pages back nicely proved the point... Trolling Stevie fans as emo kids obsessed with witches is unnecessarily inflammatory. It would be cool if we could just have discussions about the band we all love!

I for one find it amazing that all the band members seem to find a balance between classic songs and new/different songs outside of FM yet they all play the same songs at every show with FM. Clearly everyone is fed up with doing the same songs. I imagine the three songwriters each feel they have certain hits that they must play and then once those are all in, there's no room for anything else.

that post was nasty and trolling, and lindsey fans were calling it out as such, even before stevie fans.

but that's a single example. you can see dozens of JohnL posts spinning pretty out of control - although luckily never reaching the nastiness of that single post by AlexB, or if they did those posts were removed.

however - that nasty post proves exactly the opposite of your point, i think - how much stevie defenders normally overreact to the smallest criticism of her and start calling others trolls and haters for no real reason. it would be cool if we could have discussions about the band we love - without unnecessarily calling each other trolls.

Unfortunately I can't view the article as you have to be a subscriber to the Daily Terror or the Daily Murdoch Spin Machine to see it.

But from what I've read in the thread (I read very little) Stevie likes to rehearse late as she is a night owl who has frequently stated publicly she likes to go to bed at 5 am and get up at 1 pm. So by 3 pm she has only been awake for two hours and has plenty of energy and is still fully pumped at 7 pm when Lindsey wants to go home to his family.

Maybe if she bothered to write some new songs and do studio work Lindsey and the others wouldn't mind staying until 9 pm?

Just stirring the pot, don't mind me.

Know who's a troll? That Stevie Nicks. She's one!

Mr. Useless says she won't even get out of bed until 3!!!

Like someone said, people get PAID to be on top of that stuff throughout a show. It's one thing if the sound is wonky or too low, and he signals you and you fix it. It's another thing if he's in the middle of his biggest hit at a huge festival and you aren't at your post or aren't paying attention and don't fix it so he has to go through the entire second half of the song with it all effed up. That's just falling asleep at your post.
It was I who said that. Makes me very curious if that was FM's regular monitor guy, or just some schmo that was working for the P.A. company.

If it was their regular guy, I'm sure he got a reprimand at the least, and walking papers at the most.

(that's usually my job, btw, when I'm working a concert)

In this article she explicitly says that she does not get out of bed until 3. Not 1-- 3 PM. In my opinion, that is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if she's always been a 'night owl'. That's an abnormal schedule and a ridiculous excuse (not a health problem, not because she has any other obligation, just because she likes staying up late and getting up late) for any working environment and it should not be acceptable.

While I rarely take up for Stevie anymore, it is Rock'n Roll after all.

Mr. Presley certainly had odd hours for recording sessions.

Exactly! You could get up once in a while at 3 pm, but every day?

Just say you don't want to work with Lindsey (and by association, with Christine) anymore. It would save a lot of discussions. I'm sure they won't bother her anymore. They're already talking about a second BM album, so we have to guess a FM album is a dead topic for them.
