I don't know if I'm a bit emotional today but it finally got to listen to it and it made me cry. A heartfelt, powerful song. I love it!

https://www.stereogum.com/2017430/li...-hunger/music/ Hear The Two Original Tracks From Lindsey Buckingham’s Solo Anthology Jael Goldfine | 12:07 am Lindsey Buckingham, the defining guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, was recently fired from the band for the second time in his career after a tour-related dispute, and replaced by Mike Campbell (Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House). Not one to be home alone while his exes are out having fun, this summer Buckingham announced his own North American tour and a solo compilation called Solo Anthology – The Best Of Lindsey Buckingham. This week played a set on Kimmel to promote the projects. The anthology is out today. In addition to cuts from Buckingham’s solo albums, tracks from his 2017 release with Christine McVie, his work on the National Lampoon’s Vacation and Back To The Future soundtracks, and a couple live Fleetwood Mac tracks, the three-disc anthology includes two new original songs. The first is a melancholic, folky ballad called “Ride This Road” that shows off Buckingham’s finger-plucking chops, and the second is “Hunger,” an upbeat earworm well-rooted in the Fleetwood Mac ’70s rock sound he helped create. Buckingham’s solo tour kicks off this weekend in Portland. Hear “Ride This Road” and “Hunger” below. Wow!
"Ride This Road" is a beautiful song! "Let me know if you can't take me, let me sleep if you can't wake me.." I've listened to it at least four times and I'm looking forward to enjoying the complete Anthology from Lindsey. Gorgeous song to wake up to. Thanks Mr. Buckingham.

Very Brian Wilson. Very nice. Hunger, too, is good. Lindsey's choral hooks would make a dent on radio—if radio still played catchy, folky pop hooks.

Ride This Road
Musically, it reminds me of Cool Water, the classic western song by Bob Nolan (1936). FM released their version as the B-side to the Gypsy single, also included in the Deluxe Mirage recently released. Cool Water must be a favorite of Lindsey’s, perhaps played in his parent’s house growing up.

I like RTR, but like "Hunger" even better. Its mood and lyrics are a perfect commentary on what's happened to the band this year, with no blame being placed on any particular person.
Just "so much hunger..."

DW Suite followed by Ride This Road is just heavenly sequence of songs on the Anthology.
whatever sequencing problems LB had on SYW and GOS, he's definitely overcome them by the time Seeds and now Anthology rolled around. fantastic sequencing on both albums!
