Holy sh*t the guys are so horrible. I read somewhere that because the girls are so much better, they shouldn't split the top 12 into boys/girls. I like Blake and I like Chris S., but the rest of them were just so boring I can't even remember what they sang. Oh, except Phil- what the hell was he thinking with that song?

I can't believe how utterly uninterested I am with this show. Chris and Blake are the only reasons I watch and I only watched Chris last night. he was ok. I didn't think all the runs worked with the song and he needs to watch the way he switches notes...it's too much sometimes. I hate I missed Blake, but I'll catch him on YouTube.

I'll probably not watch the girls. I just don't care.

JARED COTTER: If You Really Loved Me, The Greatest Singer In The Known World. So, when Ryan announced [before the break] that Jared would be singing some "Stevie", I was really hoping he'd hit the stage and bust out some "Rhiannon" or something. He could really work those sort of gauzy, diaphanous robes that Stevie Nicks sported in the 80s. Alas, he had to break out Little Stevie Wonder. Was it OK? Yeah. Was it good enough to save him? Probably. But if I were him, I'd be at, like, Pucker Factor 5 right about now.

Agree on all counts, but I liked Chris S. too. Other than that? Dullsville. I think Sundance (please, stop screaming) and Sanjaya should go, but I won't be too upset if Phil or the other Chris are out.

Poor Brandon. They bitch at him for picking boring songs, so he chooses an upbeat tune (and does a pretty good job at it) and they tell him "bad song choice." WTF? And none of them knew Blake's 311 tune? Really? Not even a little bit? Not even Randy "Mr. I Was in Journey and I Know Mariah and I Produce Albums and I Know All Different Kinds of Music" Jackson? Their musical knowledge is more limited than I thought.

I'm sure the girls will kick ass again tonight. I wish the finals could have 8 girls and 4 guys to be honest. I'm hoping that Gina busts out a Stevie or Benatar tune - stick with rock, honey, the other ladies have R&B taken care of.

I couldn't believe that. From what I could glean from Wikipedia the album sold three million copies in 1995. Where the hell were Randy, Simon & Paula in '95?

Melinda is my favorite, I think. LaKisha was very good. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed Gina last night.

I agree except I really want Sanjaya to go instead. I think Brandon is a really good singer but with the songs he's picked I don't think his abilities have shown through. I want him to get at least one more chance.

I agree with Simon and that Phil looked really strange and creepy on Tue. Plus that song was awful. He should be gone tonight.

me too. minus some of the screaming. i thought she was one of the better performers -- even the triumvirate of vocal prowess were a bit off last night.

this seasons as a whole is just really disappointing.

on edit: i'd love love love to hear gina's take on a song by save ferris -- goodbye. i think she could rock the hell out of it

Gina. Bitch rocked out last night. I f*cking loved it.

Lakisha. Great. As usual. It's actually getting kind of boring that she never disappoints.

Antonella. At first, I actually thought "wow, she's in tune, it's not that bad tonight." Until she got past the first verse. Awful. Simon's right - she's not going to get any better, and she's way out of her league. If someone talented gets the boot but she stays, I will be pissed. I fear that's what may happen.

Stephanie. No doubt she can sing. But I thought the same thing Simon did before he said it - it's like she's imitating other singers, even if it's unintentional. Out of the vocal powerhouse crew, I'd be the least upset if she was out.

Sabrina. I was really into her performance, I think she's fantastic. Love her tone. I loved En Vogue, I can't believe they implied the song was cheesy. Whatever.

Jordan. Love Benatar, didn't love her singing it. She didn't butcher it, but it didn't feel right. Plus, her timing was off & she got out of breath. I still want her around for a while though.

Melinda. Phenomenal. My #1 of the night. Plus, she's cute & kind & genuine. I think (and hope) that she'd win over Lakisha.

Haley. Disneyworld called about your application. They said you're too saccharine & cheesy for them. Try Carnival Cruises.

Who I think should go:

Haley
Antonella
Sanjaya
Sundance

Who I fear might go instead of Antonella & Sanjaya (thanks to votefortheworst.com, those f*ckers) - Stephanie or Jordan; Phil or Brandon.
