Default Canceling tickets on ticketmaster

I wanted to let anybody know that if you have extra tickets you cant use that you bought on ticketmaster that you can call and they will refund your money. I found this out from Anna that was kinda enough to send me an email and let me know she was able to refund her tickets as well. I just called the main ticketmaster number and told them I wanted to exchange the one set of seats for the other set of seats. The lady then asked for the order number of the tickets I wanted to cancel and the last 4 digits of my credit card and that was it. I went online afterwards to check and they just show up now as canceled. So at least I dont have to worry about selling them now. Thats a relief.

Did they refund your fees too??

On another board I frequent people did the same thing but ticketmaster would only refund the value of the ticket but not the fees involved. So TM sell the same ticket and end up getting double fees.

That's great for you, but that's not Ticketmaster policy.

Yes they returned the tickets and all of the fees. I cant believe it. The lady was so nice about it and everything. I was so surprised since it isnt their policy. I have to wonder if all the issues tm is going though now if maybe that has something to do with it. Really if you think about they just put those tickets back out there on their site so its not like they arent going to sell them.

Wow, that is great for you. I can't believe they did that. I have been stuck with extra tickets many times because I ended up getting amazing tickets last minute. I never even thought to try to return them to ticketmaster. Good for you, and you are probably right about the current issues, who knows?

yeah i was still so surprised. for years I have been getting screwed with extra tickets since I tend to do the same thing as well. yeah maybe tm realized that they screw people over on a daily basis with their convenience fees and felt like being nice for a change. LOL! I remember last year Maroon5 was coming here and they were selling tickets in the back pavilion for $20 each. I found a pair I was going to buy and then realized that with fees for 2 tickets it came to $65. Thats just ridiculous.

LOL I wouldnt say I have an extra loot now since I am still going to the show. I actually dont have any money for these tickets, I had to charge them. I got laid off from my job a few months ago but I went on a bunch of interviews and I think I am going to have 2 offers next week so I will be paying them off in no time. I figured I would reward myself early
I really would love to get a shirt though and a tour book and stuff at the show but that stuff is always so expensive.

I had them do this one time. I literally got the wrong ticket (had just shut another browser). One was 2nd row, one was WAY back. I lost second row, but I wasn't about to travel to another state for tickets way back, either. I think from my history, they knew I bought a lot of tickets, so...

They told me it was a one-time courtesy and did say it's not their policy. So, unless they've changed things, you were lucky! (and so was I last year).

I hope that wasnt a one time thing, because I'd like to do the same with my tickets for Nassau Coliseum if I can find better ones.

Do you think that better tickets for Mohegan Sun will become available, as they did for Pittsburgh and other places? Or will the fact that it is a casino mean that the front row seats are saved for the big gamblers no matter what?

Ya know I dont think it was a one time thing only because the lady never said anything about how its not their policy anymore at all. She just canceled my tickets and then told me they appreciate my business and to have a nice day. So maybe their policies have changed or something because that was way too easy. Also this girl Anna that I was talking to canceled her seats as well so at least you know 2 people have done this. I was so relieved because my seats were not selling on ebay.

As far as your show goes, I am not sure how Casino shows work. I havent been to one of those but I had friends who saw Whitney Houston years ago with the one girls Dad and he went up to somebody there and tipped them I think a few hundred bucks and they had front row for the show. I think that is stupid though if you ask me.
