It doesn't involve any of us fans.
I understand people being disappointed, or upset.
But this is becoming as serious to people as a religious or political argument.
It's kind of bizarre.
Why let it affect your lives?
Agree 100%
My post got ignored when I said Stevie Nicks is a nobody to me, she is another person in a world full of people, and so is Lindsey Buckingham. They are very talented but when these talents go - and they will - they will be just like the rest of us. Why idolize them and support one over the other?

Secret Love, very very true. Especially if it means ending friendships over different opinions.

Not only are you musically illiterate, thinking that the note a song starts on in the melody line is the key of the song eg Rhiannon, you are also full of BS on the band's politics.
They stayed together through thick and thin for 43 years, so show some respect for that, Homer.
You can show all the respect you want for the band that fired and thrashed Lindsey after 43 years of hard work and without a valid reason. Don’t come here and tell others what to think.

That’s literate enough for you?

well, to be fair, some of the fans in those friendships are actually in real life relationships with members of the FM family.

i love it how people in the "positive forum" complain about negativity. maybe they should consider all the negativity Mick has been spewing in his interviews, which are all over that forum. "we" were unhappy so we decided someone needed to take the fall = #negativity

Just to let you know, David, I follow this band for 42 years by now.
That said, I can't believe that some people here are still not over the Lindsey situation. It's over a year now. What happened to moving on?

Exactly. Why should we “move on” when it’s been more than a year since they fired Lindsey and they’re STILL bashing him at every opportunity they have? Talking about negativity...

I am not over Lindsey leaving in 1987, so I am not on track for being over him being fired any time before my death. I am over people coming into these threads and saying get over it. Contribute to the conversation by talking about the band or ignore the conversation because you find it tedious and repetitive. You don’t have to read these posts and you certainly don’t have to advise others about moving on.

We’ve discussed the changes Stevie made to Sandy’s Seventh Wonder lyrics for more than a year. That’s what fan forums do. They discuss the same things over and over. The big things, the small ones.

What happened to moving on?

Maybe we LOVE Lindsey. THE most creative force in the band, and the architect of their sound, and band leader, for over FOUR DECADES.

Some things are simply UNFORGIVABLE. Rape, child molestation, animal cruelty, THIS!

Some of us will NEVER get over it, so perhaps a few people need to get over....us not getting over, that! Hint to ur Mama, we ain't going away.

Truer than true. It's a band fan forum. The Rumours drama from 1976 is still a hot topic of conversation here, as it should be—just as much as anything else directly or remotely related to the band. What else is there for a fan forum to do? Keep everything absolutely topical to the last few weeks? A lot of us—me included—really have nothing (or nothing more) to say about the current tour. I get tired of the knee-jerk crankiness, too, but I'd never dream of making any attempt to corral the conversation. Let it go wherever it goes, and this is the direction it's going. Actually, a lot of the fans here who are vocally disgusted with the current situation still share some cool insights into it. For me, a post is worth reading because it says something unusual or amusing or informative, not because it's got a certain "right" attitude about a year-old event. A forum that's been up for over twenty years, like this one, is bound to repeat itself a lot. Topics and attitudes and opinions will often seem stale to some of us readers. I've seen and added to so many threads about our favorite songs on Bella Donna or Mirage that I have absolutely nothing more to say. But I skip what bores me and dig around for something that amuses me. (That's why I wish we had a different format—to make it more convenient to decide at a glance.)

I will NEVER get over it. Stevie has ruined my favorite band for me and I can't even listen to their music anymore. And don't bother asking us to go away, because we aren't.

Amen. If anything, it gives me the resolve to NEVER let her drones forget.

This post and the bolded sentences take us finally to the limit.

Not much shocks me anymore, but you nailed it. I guess I could go tell my neighbor, a rape victim, to cheer up because at least she's not Lindsey Buckingham.

All I said was that both things are unforgivable. Apples and oranges. Both still fruit...

Buck up, buttercup.

My first time posting on the ledge for a while. 4 pages in i dont see the top 50 listed, thought this thread might be discussing it. I have the magazine and can post if needed? Haven't seen it listed on another thread. Let me know.
