I really liked Micheal Keaton in the first 2 Batman movies.....I totally recall all the hoopla around that movie in the 80's......It was such a big deal.....someone else other than Adam West....and no Robin in the movie either.....total media all over it.......Of course JNicholson....as the Joker....he was awesome in it.....and Prince all over the soundtrack......I recall t-shirts at the store for it too....just with the bat logo on it.....didn't buy one though.....did think about it though......I guess for tv camp sake it'd be Adam West......but it was so cartoonish in the late 60's for its time period that is...when I first watched it was in the 70's....reruns.....but campy is ok every now & than.....I thought MK brought the best parts of BM esp his torrment about being 2 different people so to speak....I did watch the one with GC.....he was ok....can't stand VK.....and I haven't seen any of the current one's.....but it'll always be MK to me....he was the best one.......IMO anyway....

The only Batman I've ever seen beginning to end was the '89 one, and I liked it as a kid. I've always liked most anything Tim Burton has directed... he's great at fantasy atmospheres. So Michael Keaton has to be my fav Batman... because he's the only one I could vaguely tolerate (I'm not into superhero stuff at ALL).

For those who are big fans of the '89 Batman, the house of the screenwriter who wrote that movie, along with Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice house is for sale near me. Looks like a neat place... I can see how he might have been inspired by his surroundings:

Wow. An 18 month old resurrection.
I'm with Louie, "superhero" stuff, just doesn't do it for me......
I've always sucked, at any kind of "fantasy life" stuff.....just not my thing....

For me it's great to see "superhero" movies coming to the forefront over the last 20 years. I grew up reading comic books... It was a great part of my childhood and the fun of being a kid. The reason I resurrected the thread was because I post on another forum where the voting seems... un-even... so I wanted to use this one as an example. Kudos to whoever voted for Keaton.

Christian Bale's voice as Batman is really annoying.

I had to pick Michael Keaton. To me, he's the Batman on the big screen, plain and simple. Same goes for Jack Nicholson as the Joker (sorry, but Heath Ledger's Joker creeped me out more than anything else and besides, Jack's Joker had everything I expected the character to be)

Christian Bale, but only because The Dark Knight is such an amazing movie. Michael Keaton comes in second for me, because him, Kim, and Jack made a great combo.

I have felt that Aaron Eckhardt was the shining star in The Dark Knight, not so much Ledger's Joker. I like Ledger's take on the Joker, I do (even though I prefer Jack's)... My major issue with the Dark Knight, other than the plot being a little weak was that they killed off Two-Face. They did a great job building up Dent's story only to kill him off so quickly? Two-Face deserved his own movie.

Can I just go a bit random on thhis thread (LOVE that it's back by the way) and ask what opinions we have on another superhero movie... Supergirl (1984)?! Haha! I'll wait to see if I get flamed for bringing the movie up before I say any more about it!

I liked it when I was a kid... although I don't think I've seen it in about 10 or more years so I don't remember it much. I remember really liking Peter O'Toole as the guy in the Phantom Zone. I also vaguely remember a poster of Superman on someone's wall in the film.

I have such love for this completely rubbish, guilty pleasure film. Faye Dunaway is ridiculously camp yet fun as Selena, the main witch villian. Peter O' Toole is Zaltar, an Elder on Argos City who loses the Omegahedrom (power source) and so banishes himself to the Phantom Zone. Sorry...haha.

There is a poster of Superman on Lucy Lane's wall, who Linda Lee/Kara/Supergirl shares a room with at a girls boarding school. Christopher Reeve was supposed to be in the film but backed out at the last minute. The only link to the Superman franchise is Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen.

The film is ridiculous yet so bad it's great. It includes the immortal line: "You were hit on the head by a coconut".
