Lol. I actually dunno Chess, but this September, I'm gonna be seeing Avenue Q at this local playhouse-thingy. Are there any other good songs in it aside from The Internet is For Porn?

My favourite showtune/musical number of all time is All That Jazz from Chicago. It's fantastic! The show is superb but unfortunately the film was flawed - but Catherine Zeta Jones really deserved her Oscar! She's the best thing in it and really, really does it well.

Just about every song is great! You'll enjoy it.

(full disclosure- my former company is one of the producers of the show, and I oversaw our involvement in its sit-down at the Wynn/Las Vegas a few years back.. but, its an awesome show, really!)

Since you friended me on FB, I saw that you once lived in Holbrook, Long Island (funny thing is I'm a few towns away in Farmingville, and I knew my fair share of people from Holbrook back when I was in East), but since you're from LI, I'll be seeing it over at Bellport (hey, it's cheaper than B-way and probably just as good). Are the shows there any good?

I like mostly oldies of any kind of music genders.Country,Pop ,Rock.I'm not into any of this new music.like some of these artists mention on this post does not ring a bell to me.btw has anyone get a chance to see the ABBA play?

I listen to a oldies station at work, which they go up to the 1980's which I draw the line around the late 1980's when the rap crap got started to get mixed into the mainstream pop tunes.,also todays country tunes today sound like lightrock music,Thats why Stevie/FM would have no problem to cross over.

Hmm. I enjoy a lot of stuff.

At or near the same level of omg!love I have for the Mac (though usually not for the same reasons):

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
Tori Amos
Leonard Cohen
Type O Negative
The Sisters of Mercy
Fear Factory
Acid Bath
Strapping Young Lad

Other stuff in the "most played" list on Winamp, in no particular order and chosen at random:

KMFDM
Warren Zevon
Meshuggah
Opeth
Fields of the Nephilim
Bauhaus
Peter Murphy's solo work
VAST
Elton John
Nine Inch Nails
Dead Can Dance
Cannibal Corpse
Tool
Rasputina
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Switchblade Symphony
Cher
Heart
Sunshine Blind
GWAR
Townes van Zandt
Zoe Keating
OLD Metallica (i.e. anything before the black album)
Slayer
Testament
Children of Bodom
Mastodon
Christian Death (with Rozz, please)
The Misfits (with Danzig, please)
:wumpscut:
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
Einsturzende Neubauten
Death
The Velvet Underground
The Electric Hellfire Club

I just realized I could probably keep going forever with this, so I'ma stop. I LOVE music. I love classic rock, most genres of metal, goth, darkwave, industrial, classical, 80s pop, old school country, etc. I'll listen to anything people want to play for me, but I generally avoid rap, hip hop, top 40 junk, new country stuff, emo bands, and bands like Disturbed.

Looking at the list with the different band names, though, makes me look vaguely schizophrenic.

All the same, baby. All the same.
