It is funny that when you hear the music one place, you'll hear it again in that same place. I used to go to a P. F. Chang's where I heard OOTC selections during multiple visits. I guess that piped in music is on a loop.

I am glad that they seem to get whole albums and not just the singles to stream in. I'm only disappointed because if you hear a song you like, I wish they announced who the performer was. I don't want a lot of DJ banter, but sometimes a song you've never heard engages you and you'd like to follow up.

This wasn't on the radio, but I was watching YouTube clips of old General Hospital episodes from a Mt. Rushmore shoot and they use an instrumental version of "Caroline" through much of one of the scenes. I thought that was pretty cool. Of course, that was in 1987, so it makes sense!

That's interesting, because I have those old episodes of GH -- at least I have them if they involve Frisco and Felicia. I didn't know that! How terrific.

That's what I wanna know!

Actually, I did hear Got a Hold On Me at the gym a few months ago, as well as Sara. Both times I extended my cool down.

I heard Book of Love on Radio 2 at 3am the other morning when I couldn't sleep. It was very weird! Definitely the most random Mac song I've ever heard on the radio. I was wondering if insomnia had finally driven me mad but no, it was really being played!

I heard the Mirage album in a record store here in Wellington 2 or 3 weeks back. Very strange. I think they were gearing up for the Mac show here in a week or two.

My ex used to like to listen to jazz, so while we were at his place on day I heard Brown Eyes! It was a "smooth jazz" station, if that makes any difference. I always thought it was weird to hear that song on the radio, especially on a jazz station.

Also, years ago there used to be a radio station in the Bay Area that would play songs that weren't so popular. I used to hear Silver Springs on that station (we're talking in the 80's, way before it had its rebirth) and I figured out that they programmed their play lists because SS always came on after How Deep Is Your Love by the Bee Gees.

Also, when Bella Donna had just come out, I heard How Still My Love and Outside the Rain on the radio.

Today I was eating at a lunch place when something caught my ear; soon I realized it was 'Say You Will.'

That takes the cake! Surely you couldn't get any more oddball than that?!
Unfortunately for me, the closest to unusual is Sara, which was a single anyway. FM gets played quite a bit on my favourite radio station, 1377 3MP. It's an easy listening station. I adore two things about it:
1. It plays many FM songs and songs from the Roxy Music album Avalon. Any radio station that wants my attention has to at least succeed on both counts!
2. Every time the late night presenter plays songs, he recounts the artists and song titles before add breaks (roughly once every 20min). Every time he refers to FM, he always calls them "The Mighty Fleetwood Mac". I love it every time I hear that!!
But, back on track, I can't remember ever hearing any other oddball FM songs on the radio, supermarkets etc.

I heard Warm Ways on Sirius today. I thought that was not a usual FM song in the rotation, so that was cool.

BTW, I've been hearing A LOT of the Mac on Sirius this week. I'm sure it's just coincidence, but I'm loving it. Just about every time I get in the car, within a few minutes something by them comes on.

What station do you guys hear the occasional BN songs on? Deep Tracks?

I heard Think About Me in a movie theater. It was after the film and people were milling about, so I thought I heard it and then I wasn't sure because of the crowd noise. Then I heard it clearly and I was quite excited.
