Default Presale chaos!

It has been a month since I preordered a bunch of tickets from the fanclub and still have not found out my seat location. So I called fanfire and they said that I will not find out until a few weeks before the show. What? Wasn't there a statement on the emails that said it was a few weeks after the purchase?

Not only was the lady rude on the phone, she continued to believe that it was a few weeks before the show. She thought that I was crazy to think it was a few weeks after I purchased the tickets.

Is anyone else mad about these presales?

Here is what the email in question said:

"We will email you your seat location within a few weeks of your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your seat location then email us back within 48 hours and we will refund your purchase."

So, I was right, they were wrong and I still don't know my seat location! What kind of fanclub are they running here?

Not only that but I joined the fanclub a month ago and still have not gotten my coupon for the fanfire store!

It was always my recollection that it was weeks before the show, not after the purchase. It's not unlike the club to have claims between the new site, the old site, and the e-mails that dispute one another.

You're better off trying your luck at a box office or with Ticketbastard.

With the ****ty history this club has had since the minute it was thought up in Mick's greedy little head, I wouldn't have put much stock in *anything* it had to say.

I ordered my tickets on 2/11 and haven't heard a thing. From my understanding, they would email you your seat locations within a few weeks of purchase; then you have the 48 hours to ask for a refund. Mailing of the tix were supposed to be 2-3 weeks before the show.

I joined the fan club in Jan. to be eligible for presales, since I had no luck last year with TicketMaster and was stuck with nosebleeds. You can't win for losing.

Have you tried to e-mail Lindsey's Management?

I have I have left two messages no return phone call nor does anyone answer.

I am hoping we did not get ripped off but I am very worried I will not see any tickets before the show. Let's hope they get their act together.

Oh no! You don't really think this would happen, do you? I am responsible for getting tickets for everyone, so if I screw this up I am dead!

I am sorry I did not want to scare anyone.

I figured that is just my kind of luck I am taking my little brother to a concert for the first time and I want it to be a really great evening with great seats!

I just have really lost faith in this club. We do have our conformation numbers so I think we should be ok. I have worked in customer service and have for many year worked as an event planner. It amazes me the bad set-up Fleetwood Mac has with this club management and its service!

But it seems to be a trade.... For example... non fan club related...

I spent big bucks to see Stevie at the AHI three times (98,00,01) each time it was the most chaio I have ever seen in an event . I just kept thinking "Oh it will be much better this year surely they won't make the same mistakes'' But yet they did. The bad thing was it could have put Stevie in an unsafe posistion and they had many uphappy fans. I did not go last year. I finially learned my lesson on that one.

It is just to bad!

I do however still love this band.

What does Lindsey's management have to do with the fan club? Did I miss something? Having purchased a few fan club tickets myself I wish the club would get their act together.

I was pretty sure I had read in an another post a long time ago about the change over in Fan Club management that Lindsey's Management group was more involved and helped with the change over. Maybe I am wrong but I know other posts on this broad and others suggested letting some the bands members managers know about the concerns much like last time.
So I thought I would try. I
was kind of neverous about doing it but I want my calendar and a better club for all the great FM fans.
So I tried no luck.
Maybe I was wrong but it did not get me anywhere anyhow.

I did not do the fanclub because I was told that you didn't know your seats until the show pretty much.. I didn't like that so I didn't go through them. I am surprised anyone would go for mystery seats, esp after last year's mess....

I got an email on 3/26 saying that some fans were notified where their seats are on 3/24 (not the show I bought tix for, though.)

As of this minute, I haven't heard of ANYONE finding out where their seats are yet. This appears to be another load of crap from the club.

So, if they claim they emailed the seat locations 3/24, and they wanted to double check on 3/26, is that the 48 hour guarantee? Will that make it too late for those fans to get a refund even though they never received the email confirming their tix?

BTW - I kept the original email, it plainly states you will find out where your seats are a few weeks AFTER pURCHASE, not a few weeks before the show.
