Default Prove You Wrong

After hearing and seeing this track now several times I will say this is a A+ score for Stevie. It’s a great vocal in studio and live for her. Sheryl also sounds amazing on the album with all the duets. It’s a must buy. Prove Me Wrong does sound a bit “familiar” but ....WTFC. Let’s rock with the Gold Dust Woman!

I’m glad Sheryl got Stevie on the album because I LOVE their live rendition of Redemption Day. That said, I don’t care much for Prove You Wrong. I’ve listened a few times and to me it feels uncharacteristically generic and uninspired for both of them.

Redemption Day was written when Sheryl was still a very good songwriter. It seems that it is no longer the case.

I get what your saying about Prove You Wrong......but it reminds me of the early days/recordings and I like that Stevie Nicks vocal.

Stevie told an interviewer the song was written by Johnny Cash.

That's wrong. Johnny covered it, but Sheryl wrote it:

If you believe everything that Stevie has ever said in interviews I have a big orange bridge out here to sell you.

I guess she said it was originally covered by Johnny Cash and I just thought she meant that he wrote it.
