TITN doesn't sound dated at all to me. I'm listening to it now. It sounds fantastic, especially dialed up real loud. TISL is a classic Stevie solo record. There was life after BD, at least for me, concerning Stevie solo. Yes, and I think Lindsey won, because he found it. If you find "it", you have won the game.
I agree, TITN is not a badly dated album.
Yes, it reflects the decade it is from, but not in a bad way.
It is a classic masterpiece of pop/rock.
Lindsey's production is beyond perfection on it.
Yeah, RAL is dated, but there are quite a few songs that are not, such as the title track(I love the guitar in it)," "Imperial Hotel," "No spoken word," and the ballad "Has anyone ever written anything for you," is timeless.
"TOSOTM," is a bit dated, but "Rooms on Fire,' "Long way to go," "Ooh my love," and "Alice," are great songs.
TISL is a classic Stevie solo album for sure.
I never get tired of it.
In regards to Lindsey solo, I never understood why "Out of the cradle," didn't sell. That album is a masterpiece and should have won a Grammy, IMO.
It really pissed me off that radio didn't embrace that album.

I just think constant complaining about anything is a reflection.
Some posters on The ledge only post negative comments, in a herd mentality sort of way.
I've looked at profiles here, and some members message history show the vast majority of posts as negative.
I've had quite a bit of ups and downs in my life, as everyone has.
And in hindsight, always looking for the negative in stuff is depressing.
It becomes a perpetual cycle of finding fault, feeling negative, and then being unable to face the next situation with an open mind. Eventually, the capacity for feeling joy is compromised, IMO.
Discussion groups online have always tended to be like this.
I have enjoyed FM so much for decades, and nothing can take away the joy this music has given me, and continues to give me.

Those extra lyrics are killer and that version of the song should've been included on the album. Are we off topic now?! Maybe not. Lindsey and Stevie(FM) are definitely going their own way. Planets of the universe....go their way.

How dare you post a positive comment about Stevie's career when all we do is trash her all the time?

After the glitter fades and Rooms on Fire are my favorite Stevie's songs. Shocking!

How DARE he go and get a life!!! The thing she never did. I guess you can only life in fairy land for so long, then you wind up old and bitter, because you never ventured out of your safe space.

Even though $tevie got the last laugh in FM, Lindsey got the last laugh in LIFE. Which matters more?

Bitter old hag.
THIS!!!! I mean, in 10 years, how much is it gonna matter that she kicked him out of FM? Was it worth it? To push him away of her life forever after 50 years just to be able to dance happily around her house?

The woman is crazy. Really crazy.

"I used to love her, but it's all over now" - Bobby Womack and Shirley Womack

I truly believe that she's so jealous of him and his family. He got the life she always wanted, but was too batsh*t crazy to have, and she just HATES it. "I'll show him!!!!" Hag.

She is crazy.

Ya, we're prolly going off topic a tad. But just a tad, :
Yup, Stevie and Lindsey are indeed going their own way, again.
I wish they could have held it together for one last, final hurrah...But these 5 people have always been on the verge of fragmenting.
I'm sure we will eventually hear what actually happened.
I think it's more complicated than the online assumptions fans are making.

I think it must be, otherwise everyone would be telling their versions of the story. If it was just between Stevie and Lindsey I don’t think the other band members would just follow along with it and I also think Stevie would be more proud of herself in the press. Same if it was between Mick and Lindsey. I actually think if Mick just had a problem with Lindsey, Stevie would be first in line defending Lindsey. So I still feel like Lindsey must have insulted everyone somehow, triggering Mick’s temper, Stevie’s bitterness and John and Christine’s compliance. If it’s just about scheduling everyone’s silence makes no sense. If management got involved you’d think Lindsey would be out there defending himself. Aside from that one video where Lindsey says it wasn’t his choice we still haven’t heard his side (or anyone’s, really, unless you count the super canned initial press video) and that seems odd.

We heard Mick's side (and by the use of 'we', apparently everyone's side: "WE just weren't happy"

He is using “the royal we”
As in Queen Victoria famously stating, “we are not amused”
She is of course referring just to herself.

Lady Maggie Thatcher(spit), also used the royal we, as in
“We are a grandmother” on the birth of her first grandchild.

WE is also used by cowards, you know, to hide behind others...

My point is even if he was talking only about himself, we already heard at least HIS side. He wasn't happy. And he's gonna leave it at that. So, good luck trying to get something else from him. Or anyone for that matter.
