Default Mac Or PC?

Which do you prefer, and why?

I just switched over to a Mac, and I have to say that I much prefer it to Windows. It's quicker and the media programs run a lot smoother. It's not flawless. I've had a few crashes (I suspect are related to eyeTV), but even then, it's simply a matter of restarting the computer. I just find it a lot more enjoyable compared to PC. I love Garageband. I thought it would be dumber than hell, and really it is, but man, it's fun being able to work out ideas instantly versus the old 4-track.

I'll still keep the PC around for certain tasks. I figure it doesn't have to be one or the other.

I've owned my Macbook for a year and some change. The extra price of admission is SO worth it. My Mac still runs like it's new, has never contracted a virus, has exceptional battery life, exceptional features, is tiny and light, is easy and intuitive to use, I could just go on and on raving about it. The thing is never out of my lap if I'm conscious lol. Go Mac... you'll never regret it for a second!

I need a new laptop and would like to go with a Mac but I don't see anything I like. Hopefully Apple will release some new models soon. I know one thing. I won't be buying an iPad.

I have a Mac and love it, although it is kind of overwhelming sometimes because of all of the things it can do!

For those who have experience with garageband, do any of you know if it has an autotune feature?

PC. I've used friends' various Mac's over the years, and although they're nice I never thought they did enough to justify the extra price. We use PC at work and for computer classes I'm taking. I know a lot of Mac users who have to run Windows on their machines, so what's the point? Plus they always seem to be having some sort of problem where they're replacing parts, etc. I guess if I was heavily into movie editing or something I would need one, but honestly Mac's seem to be more hype than substance.

Both have their purposes. I have both. I prefer the Mac.

The point isn't necessarily about what a Mac does... it's more about what they DON'T do. They don't start running like crap 2 weeks after they're new. They don't contract viruses. They don't crash. They don't get trojans. They don't require constant upgrades and fixes. They aren't toast after 2 years. They just aren't trouble. You just don't have to think about them at all... they always work, all the time, just as good as the day you bought them.

That's funny. I've only had PC's, and they've never done any of those things either. Oh- they have saved me thousands of dollars, though.

Ding, ding, ding! I've had my Dell Laptop for 5 years, never have had a problem. My Mac friends are always having problems, so Louie if you're willing to spend the extra money and have had no problems, then good for you, but many other people have.

Every PC I've had was a POS that broke after a year or two. However, when I went to Mac, I encountered the most unintuitive, worthless (I can think of 10 websites that don't work on my Mac), confusing computer in history. It is, however, a beautiful object. ... and don't have problems? I'm constantly on the phone with tech support. I CAN'T BUY ITUNES ON MY MY MAC COMPUTER... ITUNES IS A MAC PRODUCT!?!? And the Mac technicians can't figure out what the problem is. I hate my Mac. And I just finished paying it off. I've only owned it since Sept.
