The resurgent appeal of Stevie Nicks - New Yorker
This landed in my inbox this morning.
A compilation of music stories in the New Yorker that includes a great one on Stevie Nicks - came out last year when the Bella Donna and Wild Heart reissues came out. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2...f-stevie-nicks Written by Amanda Petrusich, who also just wrote a tribute to Tom Petty. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.new...-tom-petty/amp It feels like a good time to remember the Jimmy Iovine rock era - launching Stevie’s solo run and bringing TP into the mainstream. Tom Petty - we salute you. He’s our American Beatle. Last edited by dontlookdown; 10-08-2017 at 11:51 AM.. |

"It’s as if, by the time Nicks got around to singing about something, she already knew that she would survive it."
The aforementioned sentence is where, imo, Amanda Petrusich hits the nail on the head. |
