Oh, good try, but you never implied or stated that you acknowledged that "abutment" means something different than "abut".
In fact, you structured your sentences in such a way as to imply that "abut" and "abutment" are somewhat interchangeable.
You never defined "abutment" as you would have liked to see it used.
Had you done so, your argument would have merit. As it stands, and as you have stated, we are forced to conclude that you somehow think "abut" is at least somewhat synonymous with "abutment". You can't introduce a new term without defining it.

Not by me, because, if you'll notice, it's what I have been saying since the beginning.
ie, I said "doesn't abutment refer to some kind of structure?" and I also said
