Default Another acoustic version of Albert Ross

I just fell over this version of Albatross on YouTube allegedly played by PG himself and posted recently. Has anyone here ever heard this version before? And is it PG playing it ? I am not sure....

Default maddening it is

Thanks , MS Moose

I don't know who is who, but listening to the second guitar and its tentative experimentation has me seeing Peter playing along with the other leading.

That being said it was a nice dry mix and was pleasing to the ear.

happy new year

Don't believe this is all acoustic, I surely hear two electrically amplified guitars on the higher sustained notes (at the duette). Then again acoustic on the (original) slide parts.

Yes, it is very pleasing to the ear indeed! And there was "something" about the "dooddlerism" of that second guitar as you say, Doodyhead.
And some of it is amplified (maybe two amplified guitars?), which makes that bit quite like the original (whatever that is).
There is also a rhytm being played. I think Mike Dodd is at it again....and maybe a third and fourth person?
Any way it is very different from the version in the MOJO video that was sadly taken off the homepage a while ago. Both great!

Happy New Year too

Ms Moose

Hello from Italy

My money goes for early 1996 Nigel Watson + Peter Green, Watson playing the main theme and Peter doing what he was doing with the Splinter Group....

Great playing from Greeny (I'm sure is Greeny sound) anyway!

Mario.
