this all reminded me of something that LB said in a song in 2012 (shortly after SN refused to record with the band):

Poor little raven
Addicted to fame
Trying to begin
At the end of the game

as a legend already, there is no need to try to get fame all over again. you already have that status.

Lindsey is infinitely the most articulate member of the band when speaking about their inner dynamics. His wide perspective and deep insights really get to the truth of the matters. I've never heard him address and discuss issues so sincerely and directly.

He seems to have more humility and gratitude than ego and attitude. I have a new-found respect for him. Aside from Mick's books, if any other band member decided to write a truly intellectual and authentic autobiography it would be Lindsey. In this interview, he pretty much has already done that.
Lindsey is definitely the band intellectual or "mad scientist." He articulates well but can occasionally be pedantic, particularly when he talks about cycles and painting on a canvas. If he hadn't succeeded in music, I could have seen him as a college professor, teaching Music Philosophy 101.

I like the lyric. Is this something from a new song? If Stevie chooses to go her own way for good after the tour, Lindsey's songs could turn into thinly veiled diatribes aimed at Stevie. It looks like he has already started.

It's a song he performed on his One Man Show tour in 2012, though it didn't last too long - only two shows, IIRC. It was interestingly put just before 'Stephanie' in the setlist.

It was a lot of fun, because I was at the concert getting snatches of the lyrics "poor little raven" (that's what I thought the title was) and I was on my cell emailing and trying to access the Ledge asking Elle to google it to see if it was a cover of someone else's song or if it was an original song of Lindsey's that he was doing for the first time. That was exciting.

Never having heard it before, I was like, "I don't think 'Dancing' can be the name of this song. I don't think he's saying 'dancing.'"

We are all tired of that, definitely.

My questions still remain: Are they all talking this way (about Stevie not being on board), then Stevie coming in at the last minute, to make the new album all the more precious to Mac fans?

It doesn't seem right that Stevie would just bail on them. She has always said the band is so important and no one should leave the band (although Chris did).

Wouldn't she be happier now that Chris is back? Wouldn't she be more interested in staying and recording a new album?

Something is obviously going on that we don't know about........duh! But it all just seems so weird and so tiring.

He's saying "Dancin' " - that was the name of the song on his setlist.

Yes it was so cool and exciting at the time! Nobody who was at the first show of that tour reported he was doing a completely new, unrecorded and never heard song. Michele was at the second show and messaging about the new song, like she described above. And then this recording surfaced - to this day still the only one we have!
