Default 1994 - These Strange Times

With Lindsey Buckingham probably still stinging after releasing an album which was critically-acclaimed but a commercial failure, Stevie Nicks releasing her most forgettable album and Fleetwood Mac going forward with the Time line-up, 1994 also saw the debut of two films featuring Mac members in prominent starring roles - Mick Fleetwood in Zero Tolerance and Billy Burnette in Saturday Night Special.

For those interested, both films are currently available on Youtube:

Indeed, it was a very strange and vulnerable time in the history of the band and its various members. Fleetwood Mac could have faded away, but The Dance revived the brand, yet it was about four years before they made another album, sans Christine, and toured. Aside from two Lindsey/Stevie tours and the current tour with Christine, they haven't produced anything new in more than a decade. In Lindsey terms, it's very "profound."

Well well. You learn something new every day. Had no idea either had done these films. I dont think I will go as far as to give up the several hours of my life needed to watch these; they both look absolutely dreadful (though Saturday Night Special seems to redeem itself slightly with the music- including When The Sun Goes Down).
A quick flick through would suggest Mick has done well to leave the acting alone. He's as wooden as a log cabin.

On the other hand, his sister Susan probably couldn't play the drums.

And it's still better than his bizarre cameo in Star Trek Next Gen.

Oh man, that's only the R rated Sat Night Spec, not the uncut VHS edition.
