I just saw the tail end of this.

"Stank you, stank you."

Omg. I'm not too distraught that I completely missed the rest of it.

the grammys were great.
one minute i was watching X-files reruns waiting for it to start, and the next thing i woke up and it was already over.
from what i can see, no one that i have any respect to won anything (other than Coldplay who are nothing more than "okay") so i guess i didn't miss anything.
should i bother watching the reruns?

I did not watch it. I did not want to. I only saw the last half hour maybe. I saw Outkast perform their single. They had a marching band on stage with them. I thought wow that's a new idea.

The Grammys are just starting to seem like the MTV awards or maybe I am just too old.

Yeah - when they announced the USC Trojan marching band at the beginning, I thought, "is FM gonna surprise us??"

And the dove landing on Beyonce's hand - hmmm, where'd that idea come from?

I loved the funkadelic set - Christina was boooring - Beyonce was flawless (in both numbers), but damn, can that girl milk a song ending ANY longer? LOL I cried during the Warren Zevon part. I got verklempt during Yoko's little speech. Overall, I thought this year's performances were excellent.

Justin should not have mentioned ONE word about the "wardrobe malfunction incident." Did ya notice the Rhodes he was playing? I have one of those!

Olivia Harrison was the part I watched it, and I'm glad it was the only part I actually did watch. That Beatles 'tribute' was a joke (the guys didn't even know the lyrics to the song!) and the fact that Justin Timberlake won awards over George Harrison and Warren Zevon, all over again demonstrated that the industry has zero credibility.

Song of the moment - Green Manalishi

you know i was almost coming to terms with this whole Justin Trousersnake phenomenon, i swear i was actually close to start (in a way) respecting him (hey, you must admit there IS something about him, and surely it's not his looks), but his Boobgate crisis handling is appalling.
he let the (older) lady take all the fire, and while she was banned, he was there picking awards and apologizing like a wuss. as if we forgot he pulled the exact same trick with Kylie's butt not so long ago.
he might be talented than average, but he's still boyband ****.

She can sing. No doubt about that. And she can dance. And she's a doll. But that 2nd number wasn't a SONG by any stretch of the imagination. It was a 3 bar melody with 2500 extra notes of vocal scales attached to it like a tumor.
Will someone wake me up when this style of "songwriting" and "singing" is over, please ? What is this ridiculous phenomenon ? I thought my head would explode from the messiness of that thing. When Martina McBride came out and actually sang a plain old average song with a beginning, middle, end, and a melodic structure, I thought I would drift off into the sky in relief.

I saw bits and pieces and, unfortunately, Justin's "apology" was one of those bits.

The kid is so pathetic and fake that if I was there, security would have to restrain me. I cracked up when some people in the audience started snickering at him and he told them "Don't, I've been through enough." Hahahahahaha. He knew full well what he was doing and remarked about how great it was to Access Hollywood two minutes afterwards.

He's a joke.

The Grammys were OFF THE HOOK this year!

Beyonce is just the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She ripped that song up! I wish I would have taped it.

I hate the Grammys. I only would have watched it if Fleetwood Mac had been nominated.

I couldn't say it better. My head about blew off! W-O-W!!! Granted, I am a major fan, but who couldn't be moved by that??!!! Beyonce is a major talent, who I really like...but that solo song WAS painful ! She sure tore it up with Prince, though! Yes, the show was still it's usual corporate music indutry crap, but knowing that going in, it was one of the best ones I've seen!
