I would freak out the most for Hold Me.
It would suck to have to get on my phone and start recording a video because I would want to have that on video, if they did Hold Me, but at the same time I would want to be singing and jamming out. |

I'm surprised there isn't more support for Thrown Down, before the Unleashed Tour, I remember that being amongst the most wished-for songs. I'd still die if they sang it.
Ditto Miranda... although I too think it might lose too much live. That's Alright and Fireflies would cause me to freak too. Same with As Long As You Follow. Gorgeous song.

Nice to be here on The Ledge - this is my first post ...
Songs I would freak out over if they played live - this fall? - HOLD ME (a must, as far as I'm concerned!) - SEVEN WONDERS (people - and myself - will lose it!) - SAY YOU WILL (written for and in the style of Christine - bring it back!) - LITTLE LIES (should've been on the The Dance tour - bring it back!) - WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU'RE THE ONE (Stevie exits the stage and the spotlight is on Lindsey and Christine on upright piano... or her usual keyboards. Would be BRILLIANT!) There you have it ... |

First choice: "Love in Store." Second: "Hold Me."

I think Christine's current voice (from what I've heard in clips from Maui and London) would sound great on Love in Store, since it features more of her lower range. I'm thinking of her live performance taped from the Mirage tour--very successful I might add. I might say that I think Love in Store is more likely than Hold Me if she chooses one from Mirage. 1997 was interesting for Oh Daddy...in the YouTube video that exists of a live performance of that song it seems like she was straining to hit the high notes of the chorus. Maybe that means that Oh Daddy is less likely, if her voice has changed? Also, the chances of doing Hold Me and Little Lies might depend less on Christine and more on Lindsey (whether he can figure them out and be happy with how they sound live).

I'd be perfectly alright not hearing Oh Daddy for any reason in this show. It just has never really clicked with me. Granted it's a near lock for inclusion since this will be the tribute to Rumours tour all over again.

I think "Thrown Down" would be absolutely fantastic - I'm still a little annoyed at Stevie's reluctance to play that song live (we all know it was Stevie's issue and her not liking Lindsey's arrangement of it) on the Say You Will tour(s). I think now would be a little too late to play it - but sure, it would be a GREAT surprise.
As far as "Oh Daddy" is concerned - it's a great album track but doesn't really lift in a live setting. Give us "Brown Eyes" or "Over and Over" if you're looking for a great Christine slow-burner. |
