Default The tour risks

Not that I want to be a jinx, since I’ve already bought my VIP package (and my Lima-Newark ticket ) so this is the least I wish, but reading the How old thread I can’t help of think about the tour risks. Hope they keep healthy! A tour is exhausting, that’s why I chose the earliest show I could see (NJ, since there are direct flights from Lima and I can’t take long vacations, just a long weekend, and save hotels staying at relatives home). I remember Stevie looked very tired in the Unleashed 2009 segment (Dallas). Lindsey on the hand looked vigorous and tireless!!

So they are not young anymore. But... Mick Jagger is 70 and on world tour, Ray Manzarek was on the road at 69 and more with the “new” Doors. So F Mshould do it fine if no complications appear. The main risk would be, as we know, John. As I read, he’s still under chemo so let’s hope he will completely recover for September. But let's face it, there's a risk. Anyway let’s pray and send positive vibes to the whole band!!

How has John's health been since his cancer diagnosis?
John’s health is on the up. He’s still doing chemotherapy and gets tired quickly, but he’s definitely been on the mend. He’s been such a man about this whole thing. I have renewed respect and love for him.

Well, tickets would be refunded if they were to cancel. Your airline ticket is another matter. Hopefully you bought some insurance for that? John's health sounds good right now but even if something happened, the tour would continue. There is too much money in play now.

It is daunting to think about because they don't even start for MONTHS. The wait will be painful.

Yes, I knew about the refund. And about the flight ticket, well the suicide option was just an idea my vip package ...I would enjoy to travel anyway to visit my relatives in NJ, I adore my aunt.. and shopping in NJ.. no tax for clothes.. he hee..

And yes, though a tour without John wouldn't be the same, cancelling the whole tour would be a disaster for everybody involved.

Does anyone know if you you get a full refund from ticketmaster if God forbid they have to cancel even if you don't get the insurance on the ticket?

Yes, if the band cancels you get a full refund. The insurance is in case you need to cancel.

YES. The optional insurance is if you can't make it for certain reasons, health issues, accident etc. Read the fine print before purchasing.

Generally if I can't make a show I sell the ticket on eBay.

Does the full refund apply for Mick's VIP tickets as well?

people got full refund for AUS/NZ shows. plus there are no fees for Mick's so you would really get everything what you paid back. i'm guessing TM keeps their fees when they refund you?

No they don't. I had a show refunded a few years ago and got everything back in full.

Bleakest, most unnecessary grotesque thread EVER!

Go figure, you can take Vegas odds on which member of the band is going to kick off first, and what that could possibly do to your wallet, but you can't get a new screen name.

Calm down. FM has cancelled shows before. Nobody died. SN has cancelled shows. It isn't often but it can happen. People are just hedging their $750 investment, that's all.

Which they get back if the show is canceled. Yeah, shows get canceled. That's not the intent of this thread. And don't try to act like it is.

Wow. People seem pissed here...

I'm pissed that it will cost me a F*CKING RIDICULOUS $750 for a good seat to see that band that I've lived my life around, since 8th grade. Which I won't pay.

Mirage was f*cking $16, for 5th row center. I have the stub to prove it!
