Default Happy Birthday Rumours!!

So according to the nicksfix, Rumours was released on this day, back in 1977. We all know what a magnificent album it is, and a true millstone for music. So lets show some love and appreciation for it!

Favorite song?
Memories of buying it?
Share it all!

Mine personally is The Chain, mostly because it has become the perfect anthem for FM.

(Today is also my birthday, and I'm going to get a Stevie Nicks tattooI know she doesn't approve, but I've always wanted it. I'm getting the dragon S from the cover of TISL )

Favourite Song: The Chain

I bought it after hearing Stevie's Bella Donna when I was 15.
I get sick of Rumours sooo often, but its still gotta be the best piece of music
I ever purchased!

33 years!!!

Happy birthday to you and Rumours!
Yes, I remember buying it at my local recordstore, it was a cold and windy day somewhere in 2004
Favourite song: Gold Dust Woman

Well, yes...happy birthday to Rumours...

Can I pick Silver Springs as my favorite song? It was only after hearing that b-side that I finally bought my own copy of Rumours...I had borrowed my (then) brother in laws copy, but after hearing SS, I bought my own and became a die-hard Stevie/FM fan for life... if I can't pick SS, then def. The Chain...

I bought it from a charity/second hand shop on vinyl about a year ago. I'd never heard it before, but immediately already new most of the songs.
My favourite is probably You Make Lovin' Fun.. But I've always loved Dreams too.

Rumours was bought for me (on cassette) in Nov. 1987. I had been Begging for it! My mom kept insisting that it was too old and I wouldn't like it. I don't think she understood how into FM that I was!! Finally, a guy she was dating at the time convinced her that it was good and that I would love it. So thanks to Rick Warnock, I was finally blessed with my first copy of Rumours!!

You Make Loving Fun was the single that sent me to the store to buy Rumours in the Summer of 1978. But when I got home and played the album, hearing Gold Dust Woman and The Chain for the first time was the bomb. GDW
is still my favorite Stevie album track-EVER.

I always thought the release date was February 4, 1977??

Happy birthday to my favourite album ever!
I found Rumours between my Dad's other Cds when I searched for something to listen to but I didn't listen to it cause I thought the cover was weird. Then, someday (it must be pretty exactly 2 years ago now) my Dad played it in order to learn how to save music on his computer. Yeah, and the rest is history...
My favourite track must be Never Going Back Again but I like it better as an instrumental.

Millstone?
Lord knows it was a millstone for FM!

Too bad it's not their greatest album, even though they still beat that dead horse, like it was released yesterday. Millstone indeed!

yay! happy birthday to both you and rumours. Good luck with the tattoo.

My two favorites would have to be Secondhand News and Never Going Back Again. And Songbird, I guess, too. heh. I bought mine right after The Dance came out.

Maybe today I'll finally go buy it on vinyl. I always see it when I'm out shopping but don't buy it because I know there will be always be a copy around and there's something else I want instead. I put a limit on my vinyl purchases or I'll go crazy. So yeah, now I have a good reason to finally add it to my collection!

Whaaaaaaaat. When I think of Rumour, I think of Bruce Willis' not-so-attractive daughter.

It's only me who'd like to wrap around your dreams...
