Thumbs up Simply Angel

You know, with this "Very Best Of" package coming out soon, I couldn't
help but think of MY very best of Fleetwood Mac and THAT made me
stumble upon "Angel" from Tusk. What a simple, live-sounding,
John McVie brilliant, vocal harmonies galore song this is. I know
alot of people have poked fun lyrically at the song, but, come on,
is there any other vocalist in the world that can get away with singing
the line "track a ghost through the fog"? Put it on now and imagine
"dirty dancing" with the person you'd most like to in the world or
heck, do it with that person right now!

Funny you should ask this....
Just today I put on my Making of Tusk/Tusk Outtakes video and I so much enjoy the "Angel" footage!!!!

I do agree with what you've said about the wonderful things about this song.

Although I must say, the "dirty dancing" image really never has popped into my head with this song........maybe more-so with Sara.....the whole "undoing the laces" thing.......one of Stevie's more sexy songs there......but I never really thought about that with Angel......hmmmmmm.....

Dirty dancing to ANGEL?? LOL....maybe it's just me, but I feel like that would be REALLY awkward....bumping and grinding to that song....lol.

I am a little surprised that Angel wasn't included on the CD. It really is a great song, but I have to agree with the majority and say that "dirty dancing" stuff never crossed my mind while listening to this song.

I've gotta take a side track here just because I am so excited to know someone else sees the sexuality in the part in Sara about "undoing the laces." Everyone I've discussed this line with seems to think there's some deeper hidden meaning...but really it just seems to be about her "match" undressing her. Thanks Steph! I'll sleep well tonight!

Well, you should have asked me, bud!
I definitely see the sensuality/sexuality in the lines... and in "Sara," in general.

That and "Sable On Blond," I think are probably Stevie's most sensual songs.

LMAO!!!
Well, hey, no problem!! But that's what I got out of it all. And like with the "drowning...in the sea of love...." parts, well that could just be a more dramatic and romantic way of saying......well......I won't draw you a picture or anything here, but you know what I mean!!!
But with Angel, I guess I'll have to go back and listen to that bass more closely!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree. I think Sara is a sexy song.. from the music down to some of those lyrics.
