^^ The new DVD will give everyone (who didn't see the live show) a chance to witness his strength vocally. He was marvelous.

Technically good or not, I like his voice a lot. He can convey more emotion than many a supposedly great singer and I'd rather be touched by a voice than be impressed by it but unmoved.
I also think his ability to blend his voice with the sound of two such different female singers is great as his willingness to tackle so many different styes of singing himself. Whether he's rocking out or wrapping his voice around something gentle he manages to pull it off competently and convincingly.

Why bother to go to a show of a singer whose voice you can't stand? Everyone who saw a show or listened to some of the boots would have another opinion. If you don't open up, it's impossible to enjoy anything.
