Default How Would YOU put together the ultimate fleetwood mac documentary?

If you had access to all interviews, videos, live footage that could be found how would you put it together?

1. How long would it be?

2. Would you break up each era of the band on different discs or just 1 huge documentary?

3. Would you include full performances or put them on a bonus disc?

4. Would you include any solo footage from band members?

5. What would be on your bonus disc?

At least three hours.

One huge doc. That's what menus are for!

Bonus discs.

4. Would you include any solo footage from band members?
Only "Hypnotized" from Bob Welch & Friends "Live At The Roxy" since it had Mick, John, Christine, and Bob Welch on it.

5. What would be on your bonus disc?
Mostly promotional videos and performances that were televised (basically the Early Years video, Beat Club with Welch & Kirwan, Midnight Special with Welch & Weston, Rock Concert with Welch, Midnight Special with Buckingham and Nicks, and whatever else is out there).

1. How long would it be?
I'd like to see something with the scope of the Beatles Anthology. Something around 8 hours.

2. Would you break up each era of the band on different discs or just 1 huge documentary?
I think each major era should be a "volume" in the documentary, with a total of four volumes. Two hours for the Peter Green era, two hours for the Bob Welch era, two hours for the Buckingham/Nicks/McVie era, and then two hours covering Behind The Mask/Time/The Dance/Say You Will era.

3. Would you include full performances or put them on a bonus disc?
I'd highlight all the major songs, but would save full performances and videos for a bonus disc (or three, lol).

4. Would you include any solo footage from band members?
A snippet here and there, while discussing the solo careers... but nothing major.

5. What would be on your bonus disc?[/QUOTE]
Every music video, as well as full performances of major songs that didn't have an official video ("Oh Well," "Hypnotized," etc).

Oh my goodness. Please don't squeeze The Dance/Say You Will era into the same 2 hours with BTM/Time.

As long it needed to be, probably a limit of 6 hours:90 minutes each(total of three hours) for the Green and in between eras, 2 hours for the Rumours era(including the Dance), 30 minutes each(total of an hour) for the BTM/Time and Say You Will/Extended Play eras.

divide them up into 2 separate discs of 3 hours each

Live performances yes, but music videos, no.

4. Would you include any solo footage from band members?
Only if they've preformed the song(s) with FM.

5. What would be on your bonus disc?
music videos, interviews, and some live clips.

I think The Dance needs its own whole 2 hours. Since SYW already had Destiny Rules, I wouldn't linger on that too much, but I'd give an hour to Unleashed and this Live 2013.

Depending on how the story ends, if Live 2013 brings Christine back, then I'd give Unleashed and Live 2013 an entire two hours as well.

I'd give 1975-1987 at least two hours, but I would spend about one minute on Rumours, quickly explaining that since it's been covered so many ways in the last 35 years that it really needs no further discussion in this documentary And I'd spend the rest of the time in that two hour block from Tusk on.

Then an hour with BTM and Time and the tour that Chili doesn't want us to call the "Time" tour.

Two hours from 1967-1975.

1. How long would it be? 2 hours would probably cover the bases.

2. Would you break up each era of the band on different discs or just 1 huge documentary? Single disc. It's one band... each era informs the ones that succeed it.

3. Would you include full performances or put them on a bonus disc? No full performances.

4. Would you include any solo footage from band members? Absolutely. Like I said about different eras of the band, the members solo careers are a puzzle piece that informs the complete picture of the Mac as a whole.

5. What would be on your bonus disc? I'm not big on bonus discs. But perhaps all the official music videos for Fleetwood Mac singles?

It will begin with Mick and John's life as they first started in music and the first year of the band got together up to today.

It will be loaded with interviews with past members and current members and friends and fans of the band.

It would be no two hours. It will be like a miniseries probably only for fans only. The normal music fan probably get board after the 2 hour mark.

It would be great to see a serious documentary that doesn't use any footage that's already available, but that's probably crying for the moon from Yours Truly.

It's what I get tired of the most: seeing or reading or hearing rehashes.

Agreed, though I'd be okay with old interview footage of the Bobs.
