Question will LB do request tour?

... and if he does (he better!), how many songs by request would you like him to do:

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
i don't want to guess - he will never do it, he's too much of a chicken
no reason to guess, he will never tour solo again

(background: last year after getting repeated requests at his solo shows, and fulfilling only minority of them, LB promised that his next solo tour he will have a request portion of the show - that he will offer a number of songs to the audience that he can do by request, and audience each night can choose which songs out of those they want to hear.)

I have been to one show like this by an artist. It was interesting but I would not ever want to see that again. It is so frustrating to be in the back of the venue and know you can't participate because they'll never hear you and then have to sit there through all the interaction with the front rows. It's boring.

My response is: No reason to guess, he won't do it.

I don't think he's chicken but I do think he is a reformed perfectionist who would not do this type of show based on the unpredictability factor.

i'll go with 8 although he'll never do that many.

he's probably planning on offering us 4-5 songs and giving us a choice of 2 .

and choices are going to be something like Trouble, NGBA and GI .

because i have no doubt he is a chicken.

what he should do is have at least one third of a show by request. he can do maybe 10-12 same songs every night and then 6 more by request... have a choice of 12 or so that he has ready and people can choose half of them every night. and then add one or two songs not on his list, but what someone at the show came up with.

i mean come on, he did both RAB and Rodeo by request during his last tour, and they were pretty great! plus WATL was requested just the night before and he still did a verse of it and said he'd do more if he could remember more. so he can do it if he just wants to.

I could see him learning 30 songs and then being able to do 8 or more that change any given night, upon request. Request meaning that people will call things out to him and he will "hear" what he wants.

I feel like requests fall on deaf ears with him! I saw him sing RAB one time and it wasn't by request, he just played it. (Which was amazing! Best show ever.)

If by some miracle he listened, I would die to hear Countdown, Try For The Sun (nice one, Elle!) Bel Air Rain, Street of Dreams, Love Runs Deeper, Crystal, WMYTYTO, and my SO wants Book of Love. He can do all that, right?

And I think I'd like to hear Doing What I Can instead of BL. (Just this one time?)

Well, I guess he's been swayed when enough concerted effort has been exerted .

But more often if people were screaming Time Bomb Town, he'd be like, "I think I heard Time Precious Time."

oh yes! how could i have forgotten What Makes You Think You're the One??

Doing What I Can would be nice too!!

he'll always do Big Love, so no need to worry about that. but BL would be in his 10-12 that are always the same, so no need to worry about that. and if history can teach us anything, you and i both know we will both go to more than one show so with 8 or 6 or even 4 requests we would get to hear a lot of different songs across several days.

Well, of course! As many as time (and wallets) will allow! These threads are making me so excited, I'm almost sad that this isn't actually happening. (Yet?)
