We got 17 songs as Friend and Calumny won in Round 2.

To simplfy things, Isn't it Midnight is officially out. Tomorrow night, I'll post the poll asking whether you think Don't Stop, Got a Hold on Me or BOTH songs should move forward. The option that gets the highest percentage will be way it will be done. If the BOTH option wins, Ledgies need to pick a previous winner to remove to make room for BOTH songs.

Exclamation Still things to decide on...

Don't forget also we need to work up some liner notes and graphics for this album. Also track sequencing needs to be decided!

Title and tag line intended to be on the cover of the album....

“Just Perfect: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection"

Contains 18 carefully chosen songs by
Fleetwood Mac's keyboardist and singer Christine McVie
ranging from her beginning years with the British group Chicken Shack, to her incredible Fleetwood Mac years,
and her most recent 2004 solo record In the Meantime...and so much more

Need input from the Ledgies.....

Exclamation Just Perfect: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection

...and here are Christine's definitive 18 songs from Chicken Shack, to solo records, and Fleetwood Mac.
1. Get Like You Used to Be - Chicken Shack, 1968
2. I'd Rather Go Blind - Christine Perfect, 1970
3. Spare Me a Little - Bare Trees, 1972
4. Why - Mystery to Me, 1973
5. Come a Little Bit Closer - Heroes Are Hard to Find, 1974
6. Say You Love Me - Fleetwood Mac, 1975
7. Over My Head - Fleetwood Mac, 1975
8. You Make Loving Fun - Rumours, 1977
9. Don't Stop - Rumours, 1977
10. Songbird - Rumours, 1977
11. Think About Me - Tusk, 1979
12. Hold Me - Mirage, 1982
13. Got a Hold on Me - Christine McVie, 1984
14. Little Lies - Tango in the Night, 1987
15. Everywhere - Tango in the Night, 1987
16. As Long As You Follow - Greatest Hits, 1988
17. Love Shines - 25 Years: The Chain, 1992
18. Friend - In the Meantime, 2004

Comments, questions? Kinda odd going from 1992 then to 2004.

We need to decide if we want to keep this sequence for the collection and we need some liner notes and stuff like that!!

I like it! I just hope I don't fall asleep before I get through it! Maybe we should throw a Stevie track in the middle of it!! Honestly, just kidding, I love Christine !

@2014 Rhino Records

The tracklist for JUST PERFECT: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection is nearly complete. I'm so sorry, but I need to bump "Love Shines" off the record. Its bland, banal sound just kills the end of this compilation. I've chosen to replace it with "Oh Daddy", one of the most haunting Fleetwood Mac tracks ever recorded. For fans who hate this decision, there are NUMEROUS stellar Christine songs left off this compilation that could replace "Love Shines" including--------------"Warm Ways", "Honey Hi", "Love In Store (a minor hit)", "The Smile I Live For", "Just Crazy Love", "Only Over You", etc..... IN ADDITION, what about the idea of having Christine record a NEW TRACK for this compilation. Many definitive/greatest hits collections have a NEW TRACK included at the end. It's a great selling point........HEY, I KNOW I'M BLURRING THE LINES OF REALITY HERE !!! LOL

Oh well, time to get the liner notes and sequencing list ready. What about an album cover photo....? Do we go vintage Chris, or a more recent shot of our keyboarding chanteuse ???

I was kinda thinking recent pic of Christine on the cover, but vintage pics inside.

For the LINER NOTES, are you going with the standard biography outlining her contributions to modern blues and popular music? What about a section in the LINER NOTES using QUOTES that describe Christine from famous people that she's worked with throughout her 45 year career?-----including Mick Fleetwood, Steve Winwood, Russ Titelman, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Billy Burnett, Spencer Davis, Christopher Cross, etc...

Also, I think Chris should re-record a soft piano version of "Come A Little Bit Closer" expressly for this project (with Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham on background harmony vocals).

I can't wait for JUST PERFECT: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection to be released.
