I have to say that when FM is in concert I LOVED it when she would play the accordian during Tusk...and playing maracas during Everywhere. She's so graceful and sprirted. I just ate it up. So neat to see her step away from behind the keyboards and groove.

Can I just say that we need to make the distinction between something that is not to our taste and "bad" or "boring"

If you don't like certain types of music or you find it boring - fine that's OK

But it does not make it bad or boring

It means you don't like it or you find it boring.

I don't find ITM boring.

I find 9 Lindsey songs and 9 Stevie songs tedious. I'll repeat that I find it tedious

It doesn't make it "bad" or "boring" though

It's just my opinion.

Gail

Her 1984 album is a tad better, but still it just showed me that too much of Christine is not a good thing, things get repetitve way to quickly.
But the problem with the '84 CD is that there isn't too much Christine; there isn't enough Christine, actually. There's too much Todd Sharp et al., too much meandering mostly rather bland soloing from fellow musicians. The songs don't snap to.

And yes, i am a huge Christine fan, almost as much as i am a stevie fan. but where stevie is a exciting performer and artist, christine is not. Back in the day she was brilliant, but now in the 2000's, stevie can still bring out an almost brilliant album (TISL), but christine failed miserably with ITMT
I look at it as just a case of not attempting to whip things up into a tremulous frenzy, so therefore not a failure. If you pour yourself a cup of coffee & expect it to bowl you over like an expertly made martini, you're going to be disappointed.

Im sorry if i offended any hardcore CM fans, but i thought a new members view on this might be insightfull
Always insightful to hear from people who dislike what I like, & vice versa.

Homer, it shouldn't torment you as much as it does. You should be eager to hear dissenting views, honestly spoken & clearly worded. How can you possibly be annoyed by the very nature of dissenting opinion & still hang out on the Internet?
