Stevie Nicks brought her ethereal style to Tampa Bay on March 23, as she opened for Rod Stewart. Nicks is famous for her songwriting ability, coupled with her unique earthy vocals. She has bewitched audiences with her unique voice since the early 1970’s when she joined Fleetwood Mac and continues to captivate audiences today. Her music transcends time.

Stevie Nicks is admired not only for her musical talent but for her signature bohemian/gypsy style. From the early 70’s until today, Stevie Nicks has remained true to herself and her enchanting romantic fashion identity. This fashion identity has propelled her to icon status. When you think of Stevie Nicks you think of long flowing hair coupled with long flowing fabrics, fitted where it needs to be, coupled with boots. There is truly no other who can compare to her talent and style.

Excerpt from a North West Indiana Times article on Rod Stewart:

http://www.nwitimes.com/entertainmen...acc7fe18a.html

Having likely squeezed the last drop out of the "Songbook" tree with a best–of set released in February, Stewart is returning to the rock strata with his "Heart and Soul" tour. Expect his tour mate, Stevie Nicks, to come away with the better buzz; while her musical offerings in the last decade have been slim, her contributions to Fleetwood Mac's "Say You Will" and 2001 solo set "Trouble in Shangri–La" are on par artistically with anything from her 70s and 80s glory days, and an upcoming new set, "In Your Dreams," is on its way.

Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, 7:30 p.m. April 9, United Center, 1901 W. Madison, Chicago. $59.90–$162.26. FYI: (312) 455–4500, UNITEDCENTER.COM

[She Wired named Bella Donna #24 in a list of the 100 Greatest Lesbian albums of all time. March 31, 2011]

http://www.shewired.com/Article.cfm?ID=26986

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, an album is a collection of songs, but it is also “ a book with blank pages used for making a collection.” And that is the definition that most intrigues for our purposes in compiling The Greatest Lesbian Albums (Of All Time) – the idea that a collection of recordings has the power to create an indelible impression on the listener. Certainly, lesbian music fans have lovingly co-opted albums for decades to help provide aural snapshots of their experiences.

While spectacularly crafted albums can elicit visceral responses from listeners universally, it feels even truer for the LGBT listener, who continually turns over a phrase, a lyric, a harmony to infer a sense of solidarity with the artist.
In endeavoring to nail down The 100 Greatest Lesbian Albums (Of All Time) we enlisted the help of lesbian friends, colleagues, musicians and entertainers spanning 6 decades in age and asked them to name the albums that provided the soundtrack to their lives as women.

With singer songwriters of the seventies, punk divas, folk goddesses, gutsy rockers, jazz chanteuses and synth pop darlings, please enjoy our final part of the list list, continuing below with albums 25-1. If you don’t see your favorite album this week, you may see it in the list of albums 100-76, 75-51 and 50-26)

25. Shawn Colvin, Steady On

Singer songwriter Shawn Colvin enjoyed mainstream success in the late 90’s with her hit “Sunny Came Home” but it was her excellent debut “Steady On” that garnered her a devoted lesbian fan base. Women related to Colvin’s insightful lyrics and spot-on guitar playing on songs like “Diamond in the Rough” and “Shotgun Down the Avalanche.”

24. Stevie Nicks, Bella Donna

Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks proved she could stand out as more than part of an ensemble with “Belladonna.” Her “Edge of 17” became an instant classic beloved by the ladies for decades to come.

Fleetwood Mac’s darling singer Stevie Nicks has a new album dropping that she cowrote with Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart. Nicks’ collaboration In Your Dreams calls to mind the title of Eurythmics’ 1983 hit single “Sweet Dreams.”

“This has been the best musical year of my life, honestly,” Nicks admits. ”And I’ve done lots of albums with Fleetwood Mac and solo records that have been fantastic.” One year ago, Stevie invited Dave Stewart to her home in L.A. where she found in him a writing partner and producer. She gave him a book of poetry that she pulled from her journals containing roughly 50 poems. They drew from classic ’60s pop for inspiration. ”I had to keep asking Dave whether we were making a Beatles’ album,” she says of “Everybody Loves You.” Stewart makes the comparison of the record’s unique retro sound to “a festival in 1969.”

“ This has been the best musical year of my life...

” Stevie Nicks Nicks wrote 7 of her new LP’s 13 tracks with Dave Stewart. There are also two tracks that Michael Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers wrote that Stevie writes her own song on top of. She even pulls a hidden gem out of the song vault circa 1975-’76 that she’s kept under wraps until now. In Your Dreams hits shelves May 5th.

Cutting it a little close, aren't we??? HA!

It has been confirmed that Stevie Nicks will be making her first (and obviously last) appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in two weeks.

The lovely leading lady of Fleetwood Mac will be making a "special appearance" on the show, according to a Twitter of one of the executive producers, on April 13th.

Set your Tivos…NOW! We hope this special appearance includes at least two performances!

Default Eek!

80s pop icons Debbi Gibson and Tiffany are planning to tour together. The former pop teen queens and rival hitmakers announced that they plan to cover songs that had inspired them during their road show.

Debbie, 40, and Tiffany, 39, said that they might cover hits by Stevie Nicks, Reba McIntyre, and Guns N' Roses, as well as Broadway tunes for the tour. Naturally, they will also perform their own materials, including the songs that made them a hit back in the '80s.

Tiffany told Page Six that they "want to journey through the '80s and all the artists who influenced us."

The pop stars skyrocketed into fame when they were just teens. Debbie scored #1 hits with "Lost in Your Eyes," "Foolish Beat," and "Electric Youth." Tiffany appeared on "Star Search" in 1985, finishing second place, and performed chart-topping hits such as "Could've Been" and "All This Time."

They are currently starring in the Syfy movie "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid."

The rumours are true…Stevie Nicks will have to watch her Glee cameo from bed.

The Fleetwood Mac crooner was advised to lay low after she was recently stricken with pneumonia and the flu, E! News has confirmed.

So what does this mean for fans expecting to see her perform live in New York this week?

MORE: Has Glee jumped the shark yet?

They'll just have to wait.

Nicks' doctor gave her strict orders to "stay in bed and not fly" until she recovers, causing her to cancel her Tuesday appearances on Today and Good Day NY and a Wednesday star-studded event at Webster Hall to promote the release of her upcoming album, In Your Dreams.

"I want to apologize to all my fans and hope that we can reschedule, and of course I hope you love the new album," Nicks said in a statement. "It's for you."

Fans can still catch the gypsy queen Tuesday, however, when her highly anticipated Glee episode airs.

In Your Dreams, Nicks' first solo album in 10 years, hits stores Tuesday.
