Likewise. The song has been an object of fascination to me since I first heard it.
I love a lot of TITN except the Linds stuff. In the summer of 1987 I was driving across the country to visit family and 7 Wonders was all over the radio. I bought the album on cassette and spent the entire drive back, 14 hours, listening to 7 Wonders and then flipping it to get WISYA. And those 2 tunes brought me right back to Stevie and FM for good

Am I allowed to say You and I Part 1?

Otherwise, I agree with others that Little Lies is the strongest and has stood the test of time. Excellent experimentation by both Lindsey and Chris to produce this one.

While we're talking Tango, I'm reminded that that year General Hospital was liberally using tracks from it...and not the hits.

Big big agreement from me on this.

Tango gets a lot of uneccesary hate imo, I really love Mystified, Little Lies, When I See You Again, Big Love, Seven Wonders.

I like the album better than Mirage.

Been mulling it over for a few days, it's hard for me to rank because this really is an album I listened to over and over in my college days.

But gonna take a shot at it. I think a couple of things have changed. I have appreciation for Seven Wonders now that I don't think I had at the time.

Tango in the Night
Little Lies
Everywhere
Caroline
Seven Wonders
Mystified
Big Love
Isn't It Midnight
When I See You Again
Family Man
You and I, Part II
Welcome to the Room... Sara

I don't dislike Welcome to the Room... Sara at all, just a lot of chips I like falling where they may.

My favorites would be all of Christine's songs except Mystified, Seven Wonders, Tango In the Night, Caroline, and Big Love.

Great selections! (applause) Welcome to the Room.... Sara is probably my favorite Stevie song from TITN. I think Christine has something with Isn't It Midnight, probably her strongest song on TITN. As for Lindsey... Well, I only ever really liked Big Love, but I can tolerate Family Man more now then when it was new. You and I, part II has taken alot of flack over the years and probably not one of Stevie's finest songs but I think its pretty good.

I feel that Tango gets a lot of unnecessary love!

No, I think the love TITN gets is quite necessary.

Tango is my least of the big 5, and I actually prefer Behind The Mask.

There are some great songs though. Isn't It Midnight, Big Love & Seven Wonders are probably my favourites, with Everywhere closely following.

Welcome To The Room...Sara

I was 7 when Tango was released and at the time I had a pretty fabulous fascination with Scarlett O'Hara - so, it was like putting my two favorite things together. I certainly didn't understand what the song was about or any of the context but, I loved it and still do. Ive lurked on here for years and just finally got ahold of my password again just to show this song some love.

I do love the rest of the record and its probably FM at it's most pop minded and low key. Cant wait for the inevitable rerelease. Hopefully we will get a good rendition of "At The Fair".

Good to hear so much love for Welcome to the Room...Sara. It has always stood out to me as a proper rock song on a largely pop record. I went through a phase when it was my favourite on the album.

I've always been facinated by how much better TITN went down in the UK that the US. It hit #1 on three seperate occasions and was the year-end 5th highest seller in 87 in the UK and the year-end 7th highest seller in 88. It is the 7th highest seller of the 1980's in the UK and is still something like the 50th highest selling record of all time.
