I thought the part about Cat Stevens and Hall and Oates was pretty cool. I know the interview was about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, but I wish the guy had thrown in 1 or 2 Fleetwood Mac questions too. |

VH 1 by Jordan Rontagh
http://www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2014-...s-controversy/ Stevie Nicks, who recently announced a tour with formerly estranged Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie, had some strong words for the band. “You will be sorry later that you didn’t just go and do it because it’s important.” Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, no stranger to band beef himself, chose a more positive outlook. “Tonight isn’t about what didn’t happen, tonight is about what did happen. KISS, after a long way, are in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame.” Later that night he presented the band with their Hall of Fame statutes. |

http://www.syracuse.com/entertainmen..._fame_201.html Ronstadt was saluted by some royalty of female country rock. Carrie Underwood sang "Different Drum," Ronstadt's first hit with the Stone Poneys. Emmylou Harris and Bonnie Raitt joined for "Blue Bayou." Sheryl Crow and Frey made it a quintet to sing "You're No Good." Then Stevie Nicks came out to lead them in "It's So Easy" and "When Will I Be Loved." Nicks said hearing "Different Drum" when she was in high school made her want to get into music. "I didn't look that good in cutoffs, but that's what I was going to do," she said. |

When Stevie Met Bruce After we talked with Stevie Nicks, she ran into Bruce Springsteen in the crowded hallway. "You sang fabulous," Bruce told her. "You sang fabulous, and you looked fabulous." As he walked away, Nicks grinned like a teenage Beatles fan. |

Tiimes, Reuters April 11, 2014
http://www.timeslive.co.za/entertain...k-hall-of-fame He paid tribute to the power of music, which he said “can make you feel so alive ... and think that the world would, could and should be a much better place — and occasionally make you very, very happy.” While Ronstadt was absent, a roster of top female stars paid musical tribute to her oeuvre with Carrie Underwood, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks bringing the audience at a Brooklyn arena to its feet with rousing renditions of You’re No Good, Different Drum and When Will I Be Loved. Nicks said when she saw Ronstadt perform, she was inspired to become a singer, thinking “That’s what I’m gonna do. She was the heart of the matter, she really was.” |

http://www.thestar.com/entertainment...surprises.html And who’d have thought: •That KISS guitarist Stanley would stand in front of a crowd of more than 10,000 fans in a concert arena extolling his many years of sobriety? •That rock goddess Stevie Nicks would be seen strumming air guitar while singing a snappy old Buddy Holly song during a salute to Ronstadt? |
