Default How many of you were around when.....

I was wondering how many of us Ledgies where around when Fleetwood Mac was at the top in the seventies. What a thrill that was to be there with them. I wish the younger Ledges could have shared all the glory in those days. Maybe with the new C.D we can bring a bit of that back.

I was around... but not enjoying it as much as those who were around !!

I have four older brothers and they took me to all kinds of concerts during the 70's. And music was ALWAYS being played. My brothers took me to the Tusk tour in 1979 in L.A. and that was my first concert, ever.

It really WAS a different time back then. People seemed nicer and things in general seemed more organic.

My parents were around then, my dad said that when he was 17, he got Rumours. I wasn't even thought of then.

I've always said I wish I would have been born about 15 years earlier than I actually was.....
That way, I could have enjoyed it too!!!

I've thought of a simlar thing, I wish I was born 19 years(or more)years earlier. I was born 12 years after Rumours came out.

I was born in 1972 so I was around then, but I wasn't quite aware of FM until later on. I do remember being 5 years old and hearing Dreams and listening to it all the time.. not realizing until later that it was FM!

Smile Well...

I was 9 when "Rumours" was out and that is when I became a FM fan. I knew they were big then but I don't think I fully realized HOW big they were at the time until a few years later when I read that "Rumours" was one of the biggest selling albums of ALL time and then when "Thriller" surpassed it, I could then see why the older kids in 1977 used to roll their eyes when FM came on the radio and would say stuff to the effect of "geez, they're not playing THIS on the radio AGAIN are they?!" as that's sure the way it was with the "Thriller" stuff in my area anyways in the early 80's so in a way, I guess I'm kinda glad I wasn't aware of how much it was "beat in to the ground" because I had the best of both worlds.
