I remember my mom and I saw the band on their EP tour. Afterwards, she said she thinks Stevie is showing the beginning stages of dementia since she keeps forgetting things. My great grandmother had dementia and as it got worse so did her attitude. I dunno. Just something to think about.

In response to the OP:
1. Reanimate her aborted children.
2. Unfire Lindsey.
3. Give all of Tom Petty's bandmates heart attacks so they won't attempt to join Fleetwood Mac.
4. Cure heart disease.
5. Precede each song with a lengthy apology, but not TOO lengthy, because, jeeze, we don't want Lindsey smirking again.
6. Feed herself to her dogs.
7. PROFIT!

(Not necessarily in that order.)

She’s always been like that though. Of all the people i’ve seen in concert, she makes the most mistakes by far. It’s not new. She’s forgetful and kind of ditzy, always has been. Lots of her bootlegs from way back in the day have tons of mistakes and screwed up lyrics. I remember the one tape from the Wild Heart tour, she ends one song with “and I actually don’t know what song is coming now, I need to ask somebody”. I loved a few tours ago when the lights went down after one song and the rest of the band walked backstage (as they were all supposed to), when the lights came back on she was still standing there (now alone) and just laughs and says “sometimes I don’t know where I am.” That’s just Stevie. Always spaced out.

Whatever it takes to make her happy. It's truly her band now. They're all at her mercy now.
Yeah, she’s always talked about the men in the band bending to the will of the girls just to pacify them and make life easier. She always made it seem like it was she and Chris as a team who were coddled and spoiled and made a priority. I remember in one of the limo tapes Mick is in a sh*t mood and Stevie keeps saying “well the girls are happy and that’s all that matters”. And then there’s quotes like “If there was a presidential suite the girls got it. Or two presidentials, we got them, me and Chris. That was the way of the world. I think the boys bitched about that, but in the long run it was like: Happy wife, happy life. Happy girls, happy world. Happy Chris and Stevie, life is easy.”

But i’ve always felt like while she includes Chris in her “we girls are the priority” lines, Chris probably wouldn’t have said the same or described it that way at all. I doubt she was ever the “priority” to the guys the way that Stevie always was (and is). I think Chris seems pretty easy to work with and isn’t as coddled and spoiled by the guys as Stevie. She probably just includes her in those stories because it makes her feel less b*tchy to say “OUR happiness is the most important” than to admit that in reality it’s all just Stevie’s demands and happiness that everybody is working around.

Indeed, there's a video interview in which Chris says something about being 'pampered' and then catches herself and says "Well, not really 'pampered' but they did carry the odd suitcase" for her. This was pre Stevie. You know Chris was in there mucking in and setting up her keyboards etc before Stevie joined. I'll bet my mortgage Stevie NEVER carried and amp or even helped set up her own mic stand even in the BN days. She's too precious.... and would have batted her eyelashes and flirted with the men to get them to do for her. Which makes a lot of her feminist ranting lately kinda hilarious. She was quoted back in the day re going out with Don Henley and being around the Eagles that she was just "quiet, and feminine, and tricked them to death".

Do you really think STEVIE NICKS is in complete control of Fleetwood Mac? Have you forgotten about someone called FLEETWOOD and someone called MAC-vie?

Stevie was only able to see Lindsey get fired because of Mick Fleetwood's agreement, and John McVie's ambivalence. If John had taken a stand, and his ex-wife had backed him up, saying something like "the McVies will quit Fleetwood Mac if Lindsey is not reinstated"... then Lindsey would most definitely have been reinstated.

Blaming Mick and Stevie is the easy way out for fans of Christine and John. Let's face it, they are equally culpable. Yes Christine sent Lindsey a very kind hearted email apologising for what happened, but does that absolve her of all responsibility? I think not. And John sent Lindsey an email, too, saying simply "I am told that I cannot talk to you"... how cowardly is that?

"Well I've been afraid of changing... cause I, I built my life around you. But time makes you bolder. Children get older. And I'm getting older, too." Doesn't that sum her up? She built her life around Lindsey. And it nearly killed her. Something snapped. Like a child, she issued her ultimatum. A seventy year old child, having a temper tantrum.
But, it never would have been possible without the agreement of Mick, the ambivalence of John, and the weakness of Christine.

Hm, would it have killed her to throw in a line about Lindsey, if she couldn't bring herself to dedicate the whole song to him instead of a 12 year old bassist? That said, she looks even happier and more radiant in the 2019 version of Landslide than the 1997 version. Sure, she does look 20 years older in the 2019 clip. And her blonde hair ages her more than the brunette locks of The Dance. But she looks sad in The Dance. In An Evening With Fleetwood Mac, she sings Landslide almost joyously.
I never intimated that the rest of Fleetwood Mac were not to blame for Lindsey's firing as well.. they are.. She is in control because of the greed of the others. She counted on that to get her way so yes she is control of the band as she is the difference between playing arenas or mid sized casinos and other much smaller venues for lower ticket prices. It is all about the $$.

For me there's nothing she can do to win me back, even if Lindsey got back into the band. She broke up the band, for me there is NO "new" Fleetwood Mac and I got her to thank for it. The legacy is all tainted now all because of her and her ultimatums.

I would like to agree that it wasn’t Christine to, especially because Stevie described how Christine had to sleep on top of the instruments in the backseat of the car in the early days. On the other hand, in the very beginning I don’t think Stevie had so much power that she could make demands on her own. And she was shy her then because she thought that if push came to show of and the band have to choose, they might still choose Lindsey over her. Second we’ve heard the rumors of Christine having a piano and champagne in her hotel room. I think she was coddled to, to an extent.

But you know Lindsey taking off in France and leaving them to do interviews and Christine whining to Daddy Mick about it is one of my favorite videos. Lindsey says he is hungry and they say have a cheese omelet and he yelps, “I don’t want a cheese omelette. I want French food” and he leaves with his gf draped around him like a scarf. They were all spoiled, except for John, maybe.

Oh she admits that even in Fritz she wasn’t carrying equipment. She told them that.

With #7, she can forget about numbers one through six, because who needs the approval of her fans as long as FM is still raking in millions.

If the band is raking in millions, I guess she HAS the approval of fans. (or at least enough of them to pour millions into all their bank accounts) Sounds like they are all fine to me.

Agreed. Then why did she ask specifically for no questions about Lindsey? I mean, if everything is sooo fine, and they're sooo happy and they're selling sooo well, why the silence about Lindsey? Why aren't they telling what happened with him every time a journalist ask about him?

the difference in her appearance between these two stills is shocking. Girlfriend needs to SERIOUSLY lay off on the fillers.

Well, if it were me, I'd do it because I would want to promote a current thing by focusing on the future of the new band rather than year old news. Then again, if it were also me, I would have told decades worth of reporters that the whole "romantic tension and drugs fueling the recording of Rumours" narrative was getting old and tired and let's talk about something different.

I think her skin looks great for 70 and there’s a huge age gap between the two stills but I agree about the fillers. I hate that look in general. And it cracks me up how she denies getting work done. She doesn’t have to talk about but to just say it’s all the La Mer is silly.
