I love 'Walk a Thin Line' but have always been bugged by the line 'No one says nothing', which of course means the opposite of what Lindsey probably intended. I'm just an old grump.

I agree. There are a lot of songs on the White album (Beatles) that I don't care for. Whereas with Tusk, I can listen to the whole album from start to finish without skipping a track. And I'm a huge fan of The Beatles.

Anyways, back to the original topic...

I personally love all of Lindsey's songs on Tusk. I admit, when I first bought it, I only knew what had been on TVBOFM: Tusk, Sara, Storms, SOTM, WMYTYTO. At that time, I only really cared for Tusk. Even after giving the album a first listen, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. However, after repeated listens, I found new things I liked about every song. I took a liking to Linds' songs in particular; they were just so quirky (and sometimes bizzare) that it was like nothing I'd ever heard before (that was before I heard Talking Heads )! Now that I've heard the album so many times, I can appreciate every song on there because of their uniqueness (is that a word?!) and how they fit perfectly along side others from Tusk.

When it's rock and roll, you have to forget about grammar. Look at Springsteen's lyrics or Dylan's. Nobody's more poetic in rock music and they threw good grammar out the window from day 1.

Walk A Thin Line might be my favorite song on Tusk, and therefore one of my all time favorite songs. It's so gorgeous. I also love the version on Mick's album. Beautiful guitar from George Harrison.

Don't think this didn't get past me...

...I'd started a reply earlier today...but decided against posting it due to the fact I WOULD'VE gotten a strike...if not three all at once.

{note to self} (Ok, trackaghost, dissed the Beatles...another one "on the list"...and ryan8472 agreed...yet ANOTHER one on the list. Anyone else wanna make "THE LIST"? Just keep up with the Beatle dissin')

Chili, why is it dissing the Beatles to say that you like Tusk better than the White Album? Add me to the list, because I feel that way. I love the White Album, but I prefer Tusk. Fer You Blues is one of my favorite songs, and I truly dig Obladi Oblada, even if some people think it's one of the worst songs ever. So much good stuff on there: Glass Onion, While My Guitar, I'm So Tired, Birthday, Happiness Is a Warm Gun. But there are a couple of dogs.

Tusk too has a couple of stinkers... Hmmm...this just gave me a terrific idea: Take the best John Lennon songs (and While My Guitar) and add them to the Lindsey songs from Tusk (and Sara) for the ultimate album!!

Talking I'm on the list!!!!

YAY ME!! LOL

Seriously, I agree with Carne. How is that dissing the Beatles when you say you prefer Tusk over the White Album?

Dissing them would be saying "They suck."

They didn't say that they "like it better", they said "IS better". Way different.

ChiliD. people say: to me, it's better or it is better in my humble opinion.
Isn't that the same as you would like to see it pronounced?

Carne. I don't want one Lennon song on Tusk. It IS the ultimate album already.....

ok, chili, to my ears.
