I think it would almost have looked like she was trying to steal his thunder if she'd shown up in full Stevie Nicks garb.

Honestly, I think she looks thinner and better in the sweater. The big shawls add heft to her torso... and age does that quite nicely without any help from extra fabric. She has a short torso to begin with and the shawls just make her look wider now. I realize this may be heresy to some, but I think she should lose the shawls. She can still do drapey sleeves and ragged hems...
Is Lindsey just a really conservative guy to want her to wear the *granny garb* both on this thing (which I haven't seen) and the SYW shows? I can understand him not wanting her to steal the spotlight for his solo gig but for the SYW shows too? Conservative? Only in clothing, I guess?

It must be some kind of ego controlling guitar god kind of thing. I mean Waddy tells the backup singers not to dance so obviously and he chastizes La Nicks for speaking too much at her own shows

Oh, thanks Johnny Stew! You know, you're not the first person to tell me to listen to that song. Maybe one day I will listen to someone! LOL (I'm still obsessed with Trouble at the moment.)

No wonder she loves her solo tours so much.

And I am AGAIN about FM-especially Steviefans. You are just treated with a long awaited LB show and in no time it turns into a chat about cloth-taste and fashion-approach. It's just amazing....

Some of us haven't been *treated* at all but somebody asked what he was wearing, then what she was wearing and after her hot, sexy garb at the solo gigs, it was natural to wonder why she goes back and forth between *granny* and *hot sexy mama*. Also notice all the comments about Lindsey's leather jacket. A lot of them. But honestly, how many times can we say how great the setlist is.

I am that you give a , and judge people about it. P.S. - A lot of us haven't seen the soundstage, so we can't discuss it that well.

Yep and one other thing. What are the dynamics of FM, beside the music? The relationship. It says a lot that she tones her wardrobe down at his request when they gig together but goes ape-crazy-wild-hot when she's solo and he's not around. So it's a commentary about their relationship. Lindsey's controlling and Stevie's freedom. Did that make sense? Anyway it's all part of FM.

She wore that horrid mob widow garb for all of 2001 (and for quite a while prior to and after). Lindsey certainly had nothing to do with it.

I haven't seen the program yet, unfortunately. Can't wait for it to air this weekend.

Lindsey Buckingham: The Wall of Sound Tour

He was seriously pumping in the sound effects, but I didn't mind!

I was a little concerned in the beginning that I wasn't gonna like it. I thought he was pushing the vocals a little too hard. One of the things I love about SGCYM is how he sings the title with quiet desparation; on here it was just too much. Go Insane was good, but the reall turning point for be was Red Rover, which was brilliant. Deeper in tone than we're used to (dropped it a key or two??? Help me music people...) but it worked. And it gave me a real appreciation for his guitarwork.

I had to chuckle when he introduced Stevie: "I asked somebody to come up and share the spotlight, briefly, with me."

And am I the only one that thought he was channeling Stevie when he said, "And this is someone I've known, for a very long time." He said it in that way that Stevie does when she clips of the end of a word and kind of intones it down...? You'll know what I mean when you see it...

All that said, I think Stevie was on her best behavior. She didn't play to the audience that I could see and really just focused on Lindsey. Not that I think Lindsey is some kind of bully; Stevie's no shrinking violet. I have no doubt that she felt every moment she was up there was for him.

I thought Murrow came off live very nicely! There's no denying that Lindsey likes his sound effects, though, that's for sure. And yes---the solo is total ISA.

And I too could have done without GYOW in this setting.

The second half was definately better than the first. I have to wonder if it didn't take him a while to get into the swing of things. Of course maybe it was just that the songs in the beginning were mostly new and he hadn't worked out all the kinks like he would have for songs he was playing on the SYW tour.
