Question FM and charity?

All this talk about the respective wealth of the various Mac members has me wondering about one particular use for all that money. Is the band as a whole, or any individual member, known to support any charitable cause on an ongoing basis? I know some superstars are strongly associated with a particular cause, like Elton John and AIDS research or Celine Dion and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but I can't think of any that I've heard the Mac associated with. Of course, maybe I haven't been following their activities closely enough.

I did notice somewhere in that wealth thread that someone cited a comment Stevie had made about the money she spent on cocaine that could have been used for leukemia research...and I know her friend Robin died from leukemia, so I can see that being a cause close to her heart. And I know she contributed to the first Very Special Christmas album, which benefited the Special Olympics. But beyond that, has there been any significant Mac involvement in charity?

All I know is that Stevie does a benefit show at least once a year supporting the American Heart Association, I think.

Way back when, Stevie gave the rights to BC and one other song I cannot remember the name of to the Arizona Heart Institute. So, they get money from the sales of that record(s).

She as well as FM also often perform at benefit concerts.

LB gave a song (Peacekeeper) to the ACLU. I am unsure if the ACLU is a charity, but it does do "good work" in that it defends human rights no matter the political affiliation of the defendant (no political freazy please ).

I seem to remember reading over the years that they are all charitable in that they at least have performed benefit concerts, given songs to charity, etc.

Stevie's father is chairman emeritus of the Arizona Heart Foundation. She has done many benefit performances on behalf of the foundation. Last year, Fleetwood Mac performed in Phoenix as a benefit performance for the AHF.

I also noticed in the recent "Tusk" reissue and the "Live in Boston" CD/DVD that the publishing rights to "Beautiful Child" are assigned to UNICEF.
