Default GOS Chords/Tabs

OK, so I'm going to try and do as many of the songs as possible for those who like these sorts of things. I'll try and make them into full PowerTab files but if I'm feeling lazy or don't have the time then they'll just be text files.

To start us off here's Underground. I've not spent long on it so there may be corrections later, but it'll start people off. It's all pretty simple. The only tricky part is the chorus. It's probably easy enough to play the bridge part with a low melody/thumb picked part, but I've not tried it yet. I haven't done the repeated lick over the outro yet but it's easy enough to figure out since it's mostly the same notes as the bridge but an octave higher.

*this note actually seems to be played on another guitar but I tabbed it in anyway. It makes this measure slightly harder but it's nothing a little practice won't get round.

It’s in Open D# tuning. Knowing Lindsey he’s probably just taken Open G tuning and taken it down 4 semitones so it’ll be something like this:

x D#-A# D# G A# (it doesn’t matter what you tune the “x” to really since it’s not played)

I’ve named the chords as if it was in Open E tuning. The names are a bit simplified as well.

This is great, i was just thinking about GoS tabs the other and I was thinking it will be ages before i get some and i hate pestering people who dont even know me to tab it out. Cant wait to see solos for love runs deeper.

Live Lindsey plays it in Open F tuning (Open G down a tone) but you could play this one without retuning if you wanted since they’re all pretty simple chords. If you want to play it in Open F then use the chords below. I’ll assume most people know or can find these chords if you want to keep it in standard tuning.

So that's all the easy/quick ones done. It might take me longer to do any other ones - especially if it involves solo tabbing (something I probably will only do for LRD) since they tend to take longer to work out than chords. Anyway, next up will hopefully be either the chords for LRD or else a tab for TPT.

I've not started working it out yet so if you want to post it then go ahead

I spent last night before I went back to bed figuring out the tuning for TPT and it's a weird one... The song itself shouldn't take long to figure out since there's only the 2 different sections.

For those who want to attempt it, here is:

Time Precious Time

Weird tuning. Something like Open-F6add9 tuning or Open-Dmadd11 tuning (I think I'm totally wrong on this). He did say he more or less made up this tuning so...

Tuning: Bb-F-D-F-G-A

So the D string isn't tuned down at all and all the rest are down by varying amounts.

I'll be damned if I know what most of these chords are called. There's a few minor7 chords but I'm not sitting and working all of them out.

Watch out because the chords on the ascending part of the chorus aren't exactly the same as the descending part.

The pattern is what a perfect version would look like. In practice you will most likely have pick open strings for the last note or two of each measure as you move to the new chord position. I didn't bother tabbing it like that though.

For the end you can just pluck harmonics at the 12th fret over on the four highest sound strings. i.e. pluck something over this chord : x-x-12*-12*-12*-12* (*=natural harmonic)


I'm pretty sure the tuning is right and that the chords are right. I had to slow it down to check but let me know if you can find any mistakes.

It's actually really easy if you can get the speed up on your picking fingers.

Both me I think. I'm sure there were plenty of technical mistakes about note groupings and all that stuff but hopefully the notes were at least right. Though, now that I think of it, the IAW could have been written too low. It depends how the program I used handles capos for guitars.
