I hear ya. I personally like prefer the bulk of THREE HEARTS more than FRENCH KISS. But I haven't heard it in ages, either.

One thing I did notice about "Good Things" is how much of the instrumentation is a dry-run for some of the musical ideas in "Bad Loser." Mick's drumming, the guitar harmonics near the end...

Mine arrived this morning. I’ve only listened to “Good Things” and “Stone,” and that’s a great description of “Good Things.”

Now that I’ve heard it, I think Bob Weston may have been right. Great song, but the album needed another guitar heavy rocker.

8 remastered cds for under $50! Damn, I'm really loving revisiting these songs and bonus material all with enhanced sound. Christmas came early this year!

That continuum of Future Games, Bare Trees, and MTM is second only to the Rumours trifecta.

Mine arrived a few days ago, and I'm so glad to have it. Finally I have great sounding recordings of "Jewel Eyed Judy", "Child Of Mine", "Remember Me", "Bad Loser", and so many more.

Absolutely love the live bonus track of "Homeward Bound" on Bare Trees. The live bonus disc far exceeds my expectations... really love these versions of "Believe Me" and "Why".

That's a relief.

Thanks to Mick and all erstwhile members for the good times.

I am not really familiar with the original lineup save a few songs. I would like to add it to my FM collection but not sure if LP or CD is the way to go given the fact I don't really know the majority of the songs. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, where do we start?

Do you listen more to CD's or LP's?

Whatever your answer is, IS your answer.

(Stevie isn't on any of them, just so you know)

I'm well aware Stevie isn't on them. I'd probably say I listen more to CDs, but I do love collecting records. But if I don't like it hate to be out the money on records. I want to explore the original Mac more, which the CDs are more expanded I believe compared to the the LP box set.

If you're truly a FMac fan, you'll love these albums. They might take a bit of getting used to. But, each album has charm and that magic that I love from this band. You can hear Christine's arc in this period and piece it together with her arc Post 1975.

If you're just a Stevie fan, don't waste your money because this most likely will disappoint you.

I would get the cd's and listen in chronological order. Hope you have fun with it.

When I was a kid, I would put Heroes on the turntable, look at the photo and think, "That woman looks like she's a lot of fun."

Turns out I was gay, and she was indeed a lot of fun. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for this thread. Having all of the original albums and many compilations I'm slow to pick up on new "product", most is a re-hash, often of stuff that really didn't need rediscovering. This box set is a bit different, it's got a proper recording of "Purple Dancer" I heard this track when it first came out and was spellbound. I've only ever been able to track it down on a 2nd hand vinyl compilation. The mastering of this set (from what I've heard so far) has been done very well. Thanks again.
