Although, I will say that they could have done "Lady" in the set and promoted her album (i.e. selling the CD at shows and having a video ad on the screens before the shows), especially since it completed her contractual obligations. It would have been good politicking.

I love this idea....Mick, John and Christine getting back to their roots.

I think Stevie should have toured this summer instead of late fall. Then she could have rested during the holidays and prepared to hit the studio with the Mac early next year.

Yep...They need Rick to properly play the early FM songs...Didn't change the name during the "time" years why do it now...

I agree.. there's been so many versions of FMac. Even Stevie said, "Hello Christine, it's your band. Mac Vie.. "

It would be a way to market to fans of Fleetwood Mac's early years. It tells those fans who it is and what to expect. The Fleetwood Mac brand is more heavily associated with lush pop sounds, not Chicago-style blues. More importantly, there is an active lineup of Fleetwood Mac, which wasn't the case in 1993, when the "Time" lineup came together. The "Time" lineup was a natural progression in Fleetwood Mac's evolution, lack of success notwithstanding.

I, like so many FM fans, am annoyed with Stevie. But I'm even more annoyed at the remaining members of the band. She wants to tour her album, fine. But Lindsey and Christine should release the duet as an independent project. Period. There's no reason to wait anymore. Just effing do it!

A Fleetwood Mac album without Stevie would probably sell as well as a solo Lindsey Buckingham record. Read into that comment what you will.
And not that they were top 10 hits, but the two big singles from the Dance were Stevie songs. |

As many of us have been saying again and again, sales shouldn't be the determining factor for this band's creative output anymore. They're all millionaires many times over. To cite sales as the determining factor is to allow Stevie to continue doing what she's been doing: holding the band hostage to its own greed. And besides, I'd prefer a Christine-Lindsey duet album independent of FM. His solo albums and Christine's In the Meantime were quite artistically satisfying. |

The Fleetwood Mac name would sell more than Lindsey Buckingham. Those two are not on equal ground. It would also sell more than a Stevie Nicks album at this point.
