This is too vague to put it into a box of clues, in my thinking. As much as I'd like to see another Chris solo record, I don't think there is any evidence that one is in the works, and this includes the listing on 'Pause and Play,' which apparently came from someone's unfounded rumour on this site!

This does NOT mean I think it's impossible that she'll put out another record ... it's just that none of the "evidence" so far collected has a shred of reliability.

I think Gail had first hand evidence from Martin Wyatt that they were thinking about reworking ITM?

There really wasn't any single person doing the coercing. We've been talking about it for two years, but needed to wait for the right time. Lindsey was working on solo records, I was touring with my blues band and both Stevie and Christine [McVie, a former member] were working on projects.

This is pretty strange in that he seems to be including her in the current band. I would assume that he was referring to ITM & just got the timing wrong, unless he meant the reworking of ITM that Martin Wyatt told Gail about.

I don't want to get my hopes up for a new solo album until there's credible evidence that she's working on something new.

Yes, that's true. But a "reworking" (whatever that means) of 'ITM' and a brand spanking new record are two different things altogether.

I actually think it's charming that Mick would include Chris in the band. I think it shows that he has never stopped thinking of her as a crucial member of the band. Maybe he's in denial that she's retired (like some of us are, too).

It implies that when they were going back and forth as to when everyone would be free to work together again, that Christine was somehow part of those discussions. It suggests that Mick touched base with her not as just a friend, but as part of reunion talk.

I wasn't rooting around for CSI quality DNA. Circumstantial clues suit me just fine, for speculation and disucssion purposes.

I just checked out that Pause and Play site & they still have Christine's album listed, but instead of a release date of Spring 2009, it now just says 2009.

Maybe Mr Wyatt hasn't talked nice enough to Universal just yet.

He did say he was in negotiations with Universal about reworking ITM (at least I think that's what he said I'm at work at the moment)

I'll check his exact words when I get home and then we'll subject him to a lie detector test and see what comes of that

My sentiments exactly.

I doubt we'll see another original album from Christine (though I'd love to be proven wrong). My fantasy would be an acoustic album of her previous hits solo material and from the Mac, I can dream...
