Same year, same band. If Lindsey was responsible for their success, then why did his album sell so poorly compared to Stevie’s?

You are also forgetting that not all of Stevie’s hits were written by her and she had plenty of help from Tom Petty, Don Henley, Prince... Lindsey **** is all his own and he doesn’t need any help.
That said, because he never worked with anyone else, he never got beyond being just a member of a specific incarnation of Fleetwood Mac in the public’s mind. Stevie was able to be seen as a viable entity in her own right outside of Fleetwood Mac. Sure, she sounds amazing with Lindsey and Christine, but also Kenny, Tom, and Don. Lindsey is the only one who never had a viable career outside of the Rumours band.

Mick would probably give a very good eulogy, albeit insincere, but he’s been such a horrid creature that I don’t think that he should even be invited.

I don’t know, ask Richard to speak.
people who speak should be friends and family who love and/or respect the person. and in Lindsey's case, many in the music business do. again just look at all the Killers interviews - and there are tons of them these days since the album just came out.

if you stream the album, you can so clearly hear Lindsey's influence on Caution, when in between all the other songs on the album.

This is soo true. She would just use his death for herself and then probably write a song about called - Why did Lindsey do this to me?

This is so funny, because it's completely true.

"It's just so selfish of him to do this to me... Lindsey, how could you do this to me?"

Strange, morbid thread.
I'm sure they would have been invited. They may have taken the decision for Christine to attend on her own and 'represent' the band.
I'd imagine Mitch Froome would speak.

I think technically it should be 'had' instead of 'would have'

This is a odd thread but let me stick some reality into it. The family would decide who spoke. I don't think Lindsey's wife is a big fan of Mick or Stevie so I would not imagine they would be asked to speak.
Mick did not even attend his mother's funeral. I am not making judgment and everyone has their own way to grieve.
Celebrities sometimes do not attend funerals so they are not accused of making it about themselves. It does not mean they don't care. I have been around enough funerals to despise the people who make it about themselves. When my mother passed away, my least favorite Aunt tried to make the funeral about herself. I had to bite my tongue several times during the week. We don't speak these days.
I don't think they would attend nor do I think they would be asked to speak. Just like they never attended the long list of other former Fleetwood Mac members i.e. Bob Welch, etc
However if Stevie did get asked to speak, I agree much of what she would say would be about herself.

My two cents: Based on Eillot Scheiner's speech at Lindsey's Les Paul Award ceremony, I'd say thatĖif any industry executive were to make remarks at Lindsey's memorial serviceĖhe should be the guy.

Strange, morbid, totally inappropiate thread. But since we're talking about Stevie making everything about herself, I'm in.

She'd probably sound like her fans, not at his funeral because she'd never be a part of it. But yes, she'd definitely mention her multiple inductions at the RRHOF, her album sales, her addictions, her abortions.... wait, those two last ones are on me.

I doubt $tevie was bi. Her list of men is so long, idk where $he'd have ever found the time.

Who else DID knock her up besides Don? I've read it before, but have forgotten...

Just guessing Christine would be allowed to attend. The rest wouldn't dare.
Especially $tevie who would probably wonder if $he caused it.

Having said that, I'm so glad he's alive. What a wonderful library of music he has created. His last album with Christine was refreshing to my ears.

Looking forward to the new album. Stay positive.

Oh come on now.....Stevie would gladly speak her 2 cents. Fleetwood Mac really just wanted Lindsey. She was the house cat.

"Sometimes they ask her about the men in her life.....and she says as difficult as it has been, they are poets yet they are priests of nothing.....but they are LEGENDS"

Please, sheís a prudish. Donít talk about her like sheís some slut. She sold 32 billion copies of whatever and was inducted 15 times at the RRHOWhatever. Yet, no major music awards in her career.
