Default Back in the UK top 20!

Very good news regarding the bands catalogue with The Very best of climbing from #85 all the way up to #17 this week on the main UK albums chart. I'll post the sales when/if I can get them.

This is because the band have been EVERYWHERE this week (if you'll pardon the pun ). Chat shows, nearly every radio show talked about them and it was even on the news. Numerous British celebs and reporters went to see them at the O2 including Florence Welch, Harry and Niall from One Direction and of course Adele which obviously has effects on social media etc.

An unbelievable response from people here in the UK and it just shows how they are without a doubt one of the biggest bands of the time. I'm so pleased.

After scouring the many charts we now have in the UK I thought I might add that Tango in the Night is new at #30 on the digital albums chart due to it being on offer on Google Play but I think it's amazing after such a long absence from any chart!

You're right, they have been everywhere - and there's still lots of UK dates to come. Exciting

To think- what could they be achieving on the charts now if they were pushing a new album?

Well, sales figures are in and the most amazing thing is that Tango in the Night sold more copies than Rumours in the UK last week! That is the first time that has happened since 2000!

This is because it was, and still is, heavily discounted on Google Play which meant it charted at #5 on the Budget Albums chart which means it wasn't eligible to chart on the main top 100. If it had though, it probably would've charted at around #55 as it sold 1,693 copies which would make it the first time it charted on the main top 100 since 2000!

Rumours sold 1,473 and climbed to #63. The Very best of sold a whopping 5,083 copies and is at #17 as previously reported.

Just thought I'd let you guys know!

Maybe this proves that the Live version of Big Love is more exciting in concert to the Brits than all the Rumours hits put together.

No. I think it's just the fact that the album was £1.99 on Google Play!
