Thumbs up "Got A Hold On Me"

Wow, I heard this on the radio the other day, I guess it was off of Christine's solo Lp from '83. I really like this song, it has a very "Mirage"/Fleetwood Mac sound and I like! The hook is great.

Can anyoen tell me if Lindsey, Mick or John played on this song?

I love that song so much and my hubby makes fun of me when I play it... he thinks it's corny...

Sorry, I can't answer your question... but I just had to respond!

i wouldn't call this song (or the 1984 album as a whole) the highlight of christine's career, but the answer to your question is no, the credits for this track: chris, todd sharp (guitar, vocals), george hawkins (bass, vocals) and steve ferrone (precussion).
by the way, the video for the song is available in a decent quality thru any p2p program if you want.

"Got A Hold On Me" is a good song, although not one of my favorites off her solo album. But, according to my CD booklet, Lindsey did play guitar on this song. He also either played guitar and or sang background vocals on 5 out of the 10 songs on the album.

i was never a big fan of this song especially when it came out. I can listen to it now though. i thought it was a little cheezy. I liked the second single, "Love Will Show Us How"...and the video for that one is pretty funny too.

Great song from a great album.

I love the list of "session musicians":

Buckingham
Clapton
Fleetwood
Winwood

Haha!! Imagine walking into a studio and the director says "We got these guys doing the session work for today, never heard of 'em but apparently they're quite good."
