Here's "Planets Of The Universe", which we know there are at least two demos of for the TISL sessions:

Just wondering if "Blue Water" had resurfaced in 1997. What a cool idea!

Great information Mike, You've been a busy little bee! I've always loved "Mixdown" , I would love to see her dust it off, cause I know they can make it better. Her klonopin-hazed era vocal on the demo/outtake we have is quite a distraction to an otherwise good song, that builds and builds. I always thought Mixdown was recorded earlier for possible inclusion on Timespace. Also very interesting indeed that Stevie considered Smile At You and possibly recorded it for TISL, what a missed opportunity. And "Running Through The Garden" would have been wonderful on Street Angel. All The possibilities! It sorta drives you crazy as a fan. And "The Charmed Ones" Ugh!!!!! So painful to see all these great songs still left unreleased.

Question: How many years must elapse before a songwriter has to resubmit and update the registration/copyright?

OMG I would die....only one of my top 5 demos of all time. I can't believe it could have been on TSOTM. Maybe it's the vault song on In Your Dreams?? O.k. I'm dreaming...

Christopher, I agree about the Klonopin-soaked vocals on "The Mixdown", although I do like how Stevie tries really hard at the break part, where she's belting:

"Well, it's hard enough just to stand out!
And it's easy enough just to give it up!"

Especially with Stevie overdubbing herself so much on there, one of her going "Give it all up!"!!!

I think Stevie handled the rockers very well on Street Angel, and "Running Through The Garden" could've really shined there, too!

My mind is still reeling, thinking about a 1996/1997 "Blue Water" in there along with "Sweet Girl", "Touched By An Angel" and "Trouble In Shangri-la"...

"The Mixdown" (Words by Stevie Nicks; Music by Mike Campbell)

Well, I'll beat you in the long run
I'll beat you to the mountain
I'll beat you at your own game
And you'll never be the same
I'll be there when I'm not there
And I'll be gone when you think that I'm with you
Two can play at this game
But one can win
So go on, throw the dice, then
Go on, have a go
Well, I remember when it was everything

Runnin' 'round in circles
"Oh, well, it sounds like she's in a circus"
Said the grandmother
"Something like that" said the father
And I'll be gone when you think I'm there
War is war and fair is fair
"What's fair anymore?" she says
Nothing's fair in love and war

Mix down, live it up
It's hard enough just to stand out
It's easy enough just to give it all up
Mix down, live it up
Well, it's hard enough just to stand out
And it's easy enough just to give it up

Well, I'll beat you in the long run
I'll beat you to the mountain
Then I'll beat you at your own game
And I know that you'll never be the same
I'll be there when I'm not there
I'll be gone when you think that I'm with you
Two can play at this game
But only one can win
Well, go on, throw the dice, then
Go on, have a go
I remember when it was everything

So I'll be gone when you think I'm there
War is war, and fair is fair
What's fair anymore?
Nothing is fair in love and war
Mix down, live it up!
Well, it's hard enough just to stand out!
And it's easy enough just to give it up!

Oh, well, I'll beat you in the long run
And then I'll beat you to the mountain
Well, I'll beat you at your own game
And you'll never be the same
Oh, baby, I'll be there when I'm not there
And I'll be gone when you think that I'm with you
Two can play at this game, honey
But only one can win
Go on, throw the dice, then
Go on, have a go...
I remember when you never said "No..."

I like that Stevie might have orignially intended to recapture a bit of the old Rock A Little days with Street Angel - Thousand Days, Love Is Like A River, Greta, I Call You Missing, Mirror Mirror as a B-Side - and now the possibility that Running Through The Garden was considered and *maybe* even recorded for inclusion.

That could have been an amazing album indeed, with the right producer and Stevie in the right frame of mind.

"Street Angel" could have been the "Rock A Little"-esque weird track on the album, yeah! The sands of time and all that...

So Mike, In your quest to find possible vault songs that Stevie may have included for IYD, as well as uncover all sorts of interesting timelines. Have no newly submitted copyrights shown up in 2010, 2011? with Dave Stewart and other possible collaborators??

Also I haven't seen anyone here point out that "In Your Dreams" could be the 1st Stevie solo album to have Stevie write or co-write every single song on the whole record! That would be HUGE.
