Guitar legend Green turns his hand to art

IT HAS been years since he left Fleetwood Mac, having taken one acid
trip too many. But the band's founding member, guitar legend Peter
Green, is poised to step back into the limelight with an exhibition of
his artwork.

"I've been doing a lot of paintings, drawings and photography, and
there's been talk of putting on a show," said Green, 59, who speaks in
a dazed fashion following decades of psychiatric drugs and even ECT.
The guitarist, who still performs musically, has also ruled out
reuniting with Fleetwood Mac. "There's a two-in-a-thousand chance we'd
play together again," he told us at a London awards ceremony. "We dont
get on so well now. We used to get on very well, so I suppose it has to
balance out."

Sounds great! Creative poeple find different outlets,
maybe that's why many older musicians paint.
As for the Mac reunion, good for him (not that they don't get along, but you know...)!

hey dino, thanks for posting this, very interesting! does anyone know what ceremony it was? perhaps the bmi awards in london on tuesday?

nice to see that pete is in the uk for a visit, that his health is good enough to travel and to have a night out. great news.

Yes it was he got an award for 4 million airplays of back magic women ... i see it yesterday

"Decades psychiatric drugs"???? Interesting word pairing. They make it sound like the took drugs for 30 years.

And TWO in a thousand is better odds than one in a thousand. I'll keep my fingers crossed
