Great stuff - thanks for posting! Does anyone know why Moore sold the guitar?

I bet the dude needed money.... I read interviews with him from the time he released Blues For Greeny: "I'll NEVER sell it!"

Hi,

There is an interesting article about Peter's Les Paul in the December, 2006 Issue of the UK magazine: "Guitar & Bass". It discusses the sale of the guitar and includes some interesting photos.

Cheers, Don

Default not exactly the same guitar

When I saw the pictures some time ago (when the guitar was sold to Maverick) and now available through the link provided by Kowk it was clear that (a) this is not the same guitar that Peter Green played or (b) Gary Moore had altered it back to its original configuration (check the top pickup). It is also possible that Moore configured the out-of-phase via some switching rather than reversing the pickup magnet.

Does anyone know?

best wishes
bill

Hi,

if I remember the "Montreux 1990" video of Gary correctly he used 2 very similar LPs, one with the out-of-phase configuration and a "correct" one. You can see him swap the guitars between songs. Probably just a photo of another LP which Gary owns???
